Putting a future group together, but wanting to find a DM that is up for the challenge of running a game for what will probably be a crazy, chaotic, mind blowing DM'ing experience... wait that's just DM'ing... moving on then. The setting and general background will be that of Matt Mercers masterpiece, Wildmount. But wanting a DM that will take creative license and tell their own story within this world While voice acting isn't required its a huge plus, but the primary focus of what im looking for is dedication to ones craft. Someone that truely enjoys telling a story and has the time to do it right. Some general things that the starting group (myself and some friends) are looking for. One day a week 3-4 hour sessions Expansive multi story ark to carry a group from roughly 3/5-15+ Good sense of humor/Ok with adult theme/language/context Not afraid to punish dumb decisions/Murder hobos, but also not out to make it DM vs Players. We want to have fun but not walk through the game unscathed and if a character dies, well that's part of a true journey and story. Individual character story arcs that are tied into the overall story. Not everyone becomes a king, or a legend but, we want each player to feel like their character grows and expands into the world as they go through it. Session 0 will help map a lot of this out. Someone that will Take Charge and Run the game. I am only looking to put the right people together, after that i hand all power over to the DM (as i believe it should be). Said DM needs to be willing to run the game entirely, not just the in game story part! (ill back you, no one is gonnafire you =P) I am not a DM, i dont think i have listed all the things a Good DM should know but outlined some of the things players find important. While experience is not required, if people are paying per game/month, there is an expectation of professionalism and good craftsmanship.
