Some questions, and also LFG!

Greetings, adventurer! Not really sure what to do here - I would want to find people to play some TTRPGs with, but I'm slightly torn and would like to seek advice from just anyone that has used this platform successfully. If I'm open minded to what system is used and don't mind playing different ones, what then should I write in my standard LFG post? I have some preferences, ofcourse, but I'm interested in more than one is what I'm saying. Otherwise, if anyone is looking for a player and it isn't too much trouble, I've written a little about myself in my profile that further explains what kind of roleplayer I am etc. this might also help in assisting me in what I should choose to write in this forum. If you're open to trying other systems, I would actually save an LFG post and start looking for games directly. Between prowling this section of the forum and looking in the Looking for Group section of the site (up top), just start looking at available games and drop a line in any that interest you. What an LFG post is is basically a reverse job ad. You are posting something and waiting for someone to reply to it. A generic "I like gaming" post doesn't seem to grab nearly as much attention as a specific post about a particular game. And in my experience, most threads are other players posting thatbthey would also like to play that game until either one of them steps up or until they are lucky enough to have a GM stroll by. A more proactive tends to be best. That being said, I do find that more specifics help. Naming maybe three games is going to be a lot more successful that saying I'll play anything. You'll also want to note your availability and anything else you want to mention, like maybe playstyle or the last game you played (to show off your experience). Hope that helps.

it's just like an ad at a game shop. Tell who you are, what you are looking for. Be specific, even if being specific is any d20 game, etc. There is a large ratio of players to GMs so you'll have to stand out to get the better spots.
