In the dimly lighted, smoke filled tavern room, sounds of a lute is heard playing softly while the din of voices slowly die out. The tavern crowd all turn towards the bard in the corner strumming his lute in anticipation of a tale or a song. Tonight they get a surprise as the tales comes from the Nentir Vale. Hello everyone, I have a campaign that is using the Nentir Vale map for the setting but all the adventures will be homebrewed. I'm seeking two players that are willing to be flexible and open minded in gameplay as I don't use any mini or maps usually. It is mostly descriptive text with occasional pictures. I have one spare character (thief) already created but it does not take long to create characters. If you want to join the game then please send me a pm with the title of "Nentir Vale invite" or look for it on the lfg listing and post. My group enjoys new players to the site or to the hobby itself as two of them are fairly new to the hobby. Nentir Vale - Tales from the Vale Game Start time: 830pm (maybe slightly earlier) (GMT-6) Game Day: Thursday evening **This campaign will be a text based playing sessions only.** We use skype for all ooc text chat and questions so you have to be willing to trade contact information. All game text will be in emote form and the inline rollers will be used also. How to use those two commands will be shown to anyone that is accepted if it is not known. The system to be used will be Basic Fantasy RPG with a few supplements and a house rule or few. The Basic Fantasy Role-Playing Game is a rules-light game system modeled on the classic RPG rules of the early 1980's. Though based loosely on the d20 SRD v3.5, Basic Fantasy RPG has been written largely from scratch to replicate the look, feel, and mechanics of the early RPG game systems. It is suitable for those who are fans of "old-school" game mechanics. Basic Fantasy RPG is simple enough for children in perhaps second or third grade to play, yet still has enough depth for adults as well. http://www.basicfantasy.org/index.html
