LFP Australia Lost Mines of Phandelver meets Tombstone 9pm Fridays

I'm starting a Lost Mines Game Friday's 9pm AEST.  No charge to play and no experience necessary.  I've been playing D&D since 2nd Edition and know Faerun better than Earth.  No beforehand knowledge is necessary for the players but I aspire to introduce you to a fully immersive experience, employing the people, places, cultures, and history of the Forgotten Realms setting.  Don't worry if you never played before, I love new players.  The game will start when we have 3 PCs and the party will max out at 5. The Prologue: Gundren Rockseeker, a cantankerous old Dwarf with a big mouth, has hired you to bring a wagon of goods from Neverwinter to Phandalin, the latest mining boomtown several days travel south.  You jump at the chance to see the this town where luxury goods are sold out the back of wagons, gaming halls and houses of delight run 24 hours, and people are striking it rich overnight.  Plus 10gp for a simple escort job and you'll have your bankroll ready to go once you get there.  Gundren also keeps claiming he and his brothers are on to something big and there just might be more work for you once you get to town. Background:  The North Sword Coast is slowly emerging from several cataclysms over the past hundred years.  The North Sword Coast has become wild and dangerous with former powerful city states all unable to project power.  Bandits and monsters lurk everywhere and there are a cluster of ruins and ghost towns adding to the already common ancient ruins that dot the landscape.  Old allies now compete against each other attempting to reclaim past glories and shadow organizations as always operate under guise with their own agendas and ambitions of power.   Each player will be required to create a background story for their character that will be woven into the story.  If we decide to stay together after the module then we'll embark on a homebrew campaign utilising these back stories.
Kinda interested, how does this mix with tombstone?
I add Old West elements to the game - mostly the town of Phandalin.  Edermath is the Town Marshall, Halia Thornton is the powerful "party boss", redbrands while obvious bandits are semi-legal.  The town has a Casino where you can play Pharaoh and Poker, a brothel - however roleplaying here is confined to the parlour room, and a Playhouse and there is a play the characters can attend if they wish.  Each character in town has been fleshed out beyond the description in the tavern.  I don't force anything on the players, but I present numerous options for any level of engagement with the townspeople.   After the Spellplague, the Sundering, and the War of the Silver Marches, the North Sword Coast is once again a wild and lawless frontier where the old powers are either in ruin or can't project power.  Don't worry if you don't know what any of those things are, through game play and in background it is all given to you to help shape your character and their choices.
