PC Gen plugin

It would be fantastic if there were a way to directly export characters from PC Gen to Roll20. Creating a character in PC Gen is MUCH faster and easier than manually typing it in on an electronic sheet. It would give you an edge over Myth Weavers and Obsidian Portal, who also have clunky, manual sheets.

Various people in the API forum have done work with importing characters from various sources. Probably PC Gen would be easier than some of them. The API is a Mentor level feature, but might be worth it for you if that was something you wanted to pursue.
Creating a character is often a commitment. This isn't really a video game in my opinion. Then again all of my games are stable.

I could argue that it's nice to spend more time in the creating and less in the documenting. =D Your point is of course valid, but then so is his. Stability is not necessarily an indicator that spending more time in an activity is desirable, and even if it were, there are plenty of one shot games where being able to create a character quickly would be a great boon.
I could argue that it's not more fun. :) Documenting is for WORK!!

I'd argue that while creating a character is a commitment, making character creation as quick and painlessly as possible provides more time for gaming, makes it easier to generate a character on the fly when needed. I can whip up a Pathfinder character of any level, completely customized to my tastes and a game world I'm familiar with in around 10 minutes. There's really no logic to making a character "mean more" by creating it in a sub-optimal way. The character I quickly create in PC Gen has no less value than one it would take me an hour to write on paper, or manually key into a character sheet. It's really a matter of preference, and a desire to create one more quickly seems less of a tie to video games than <ahem> running a game on Roll20. :) Really, it seems odd to judge one electronic character sheet over another based on the amount of time it takes to fill it out, when you really think about it. You want characters for your game hand written on old notebook paper? I have a font and background for that, it'll be ready in around 10 minutes, and will be just as interesting as the one I created with pencil and paper 25 years ago when I first started gaming. Oh, and by the way, leveling with PC Gen takes much less time than going through and making sure all the fields are updated on a manual form or paper. Data entry is not gaming, GAMING is gaming.
With the character sheets in a campaign, you can make pre-generated character sheets and give access to all players. Just keep a template for DM only. I plan on doing that once I get everything finalized so that I can easily run one shots of my world, and have a list of pregens players can easily grab and use. I'll open them up to my campaigns I run first, so players that want to reroll can save a lot of time as I plan on adding full spellbooks to the class templates.
