The mighty star empire of Shzx’b’Unr has spread across the galaxy, ever hungry for new planets to conquer. Civilizations deemed sufficiently evolved are enslaved, less advanced ones are annihilated, their people and resources harvested to fuel the war machine. To this end, the Shzxans send out deep space science vessels, tasked with discovering inhabited planets, observing them and abducting specimens of indigenous lifeforms which show potential for use as shock troops or biological weapons. One such ship is now orbiting your campaign world. On its way there, this particular ship was attacked by a hostile race of aliens. The crew was almost completely wiped out during the assault, but the ship itself escaped destruction and the central computer has since continued its original mission on autopilot. In the bowels of the ship, the forgotten test subjects have created a new home for themselves. As the PCs are camped out one night during their travels, they are caught in a bright tractor beam and with the deafening noise of blaring horns steadily pulled up into the ship. I am looking for players to join an ongoing Worlds Without Number campaign. The title of the game is "108 Triumphant Void". The campaign started in February. The group consists of myself as GM, and five players. Due to real life commitments we sometimes struggle to keep the game going and we are looking to bump up the numbers. The group is friendly, relaxed, and easy going, no rules lawyers or power gamers. We play a couple of Saturdays per month, scheduling game days ad hoc as a function of people's availablility. We start the game at 18.00 UTC (i.e. 7PM London time) and usually play for four hours or so with a break halfway through. We use roll20 for desktop and Discord for voice - no video. The party is currently 4th level. Our house rule is that new PCs (whether for new players joining, or to replace dead PCs) enter the game at half the XP of the most experienced PC. In the current case that means that new PCs would start at 3rd level. The game is set in the Gyre (the default setting for WWN). Initially I created homebrew scenarios that were consistent with the Latter Earth genre. More recently I have had less free time and have been running third party / published adventures, where the genre is a bit more random. The current adventure is old school gonzo, the party were abducted by a flying saucer and are trying to escape. We play the rules by the book with a bare minimum of house rules. If you are interested then please either respond to this thread or PM me, I would be delighted to hear from you! https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/300402/108-triumphant-void
