Item mods corrupted or bugged, exceeding 4,0000 characters.

This has been an on-going issue with no apparently solution . Items in a character's inventory, especially weapons, are at risk of losing values and generating garbage text in an item's "Mods" text field. Weapons often lose their values, turning a 1d4 damage dagger into 1 damage with repeating text "Attacks: 1, Damage1, Attacks: 1, Damage: 1 etc..." . This occurs not only with items dragged from the compendium (5e SRD) but also custom items that are manually entered. Manually editing affected items doesn't protect them from future corruption.
I've just confirmed this occurs with multiple sheets for different players in the same campaign.

Can you give repeatable steps with a specific sheet, browser and item? Or is it random? I haven't run into it, myself.
It has been random, or we haven't nailed down a clear pattern yet. It occurs on both Chrome & Firefox, with extensions (custom CSS, VTTES) or without them. The only consistent thing is that it occurs on inventory items marked 'Has An Attack'. The Mods text field gradually fills up with this data. Items with mods that affect stats (e.g. "ac +1") remain stable.
