Greetings and Welcome to your new adventure on the Sword Coast! We are currently looking for new players to join our growing west marches style game. Our game is run by a few rotating GMs that run a series of one-shots throughout the week. We primarily use the 5th edition mechanics and play rules as written with a few choice homebrewed rules for quality of life. However, our world lore uses the official material from the 3.5 edition of Faerun. We try to have a balance for all three pillars of Dungeons and Dragons: Combat, Roleplay, and Exploration. In-Character roleplay is encouraged, however, you are not required to if you are not comfortable doing so. We also have a selection of roleplay rooms for you to choose from if written roleplay is more comfortable. So what is West March Style? West March is a very player centric style of play. Players are not required to adhere to only one character and are allowed to have a number of different characters that they can play. Players can choose to jump in at their convenience when their schedule allows. You do not have to play the same character every time you play in a session. How do we handle character creation? Character creation uses point buy or standard array. You are allowed to roll for hit points upon level up or you may choose to instead take the average. It should be noted that if you choose to roll, the result cannot be changed. If you roll a 1 on the hit die, that is the number you add to your constitution mod for your new hitpoint total. We additionally also allow the majority of PHB races, with the option to unlock more races the more your character progresses. Other information Homebrew material is not allowed in our setting, however GMs may give out uniquely homebrewed magical items for the players to use. We do allow for a number of different source books, but we guarantee use of Player’s Handbook, Dungeon Master’s Guide, Xanathar’s Guide to Everything, and Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything.
