Elves that are in the military belong either to the kings guard/army, or the guard of their noble house or lower house Thechlon is very feudal and places a lot of value upon honor, its citizenry usually will wear a tabard or cloak with their house's sigil. All elves belong to a house. An elf may that is of a lower house may wear the heraldry of such if they are part of said house's guard or of the ruling family. If an elf is part of a lower house and that house(which all lower houses do) hold ties and fealty to a higher house the elf will either where the livery of their lower house unless they have been accepted as a member of the the higher houses guard. Members of lower houses that are of the ruling family of said house will wear their livery, the personal guard of the house will also. Ruling members of noble houses and lesser houses will wear a pin on their right breast to show that they are of the families ruling family, non military and non-ruling house members do not wear heraldry. Members of Thechlon's Guard/Legion are denoted by the following sigil: Elves seen wearing this sigil denotes they soldiers/guards of the empire. This means they are members of the army of the empire and under direct control not of anyone house, but of the Lord General. This makes up the largest overall military force within Thechlon.
