Hello all, since my thursdays nights are free, i am looking to find a game for either Grim Hollow or just 5E in general for the night. I would prefer to join something that is going to be around for a while, so no short modules if possible. I would certainly be up for a range of modules however or homebrew. The only deal is of course that the starting time can be anywhere from 3 PM MST up to 7 PM MST besides that i am good for 3-5 hour sessions. I have a fair amount of experience with 5E now (and a few years with pathfinder 1E) though i would like a fair amount more. Currently i am loving the Grim Hollow subclasses and i adore them compared to other options in the main game. They are well balanced and creative. So if anything i would prefer to play one of the two subclasses that have come to mind the most for me. I enjoy a lot of roleplay and i do enjoy combat as well. I like really acting out my character and watching others do the same. So i would be using voice for sure though i don't mind typing/rping in chat if another character is being focused on or if there is some dialogue going on where speaking up might not be the best idea. Watching stories play out is a joy to me.I also enjoy mature content and i am no stranger to it. I would prefer a free game to join, though depending on payment i would join a paid game. 10 or less a session at most. Weekly is fine. As for the subclasses from Grim Hollow i want to play, they are Machine Cultist(Artificer) and Path of the Fractured(Barbarian). Ill throw a little sum up of each and the character down below.(Ill also happily provide the player's guide and campaign guide if needed, as i own both and originally backed it.) ---------------------------------------- Masi Narie Teroare (in translation means Machine Terror) is a former thief who had used her talent with tinkering as a means to thievery , often stealing from nobles and other privileged individuals (especially up themselves priests who are corrupt). Her very outfit makes fun of the nobles openly with its more risque look with no regard for the social 'norms'. However as this life passed on from day to day she began to hear a voice in her head. One that promised her greater recognition for her deeds and far greater heights in wealth she should follow it's instructions. Greed and desire overwhelmed her in time, and she caved in. Now she serves a very different purpose, she follows the Dread Machine's call and crafts more dangerous creations by the day. She is still a thief from time to time but now she has a new path. It's slowly driving her mad but who cares...it's just so much fun! Machine Cultist : Basically it's an eldritch version of the artificer with more a warlock feel. It does also allow for a great option for party transport across just about any kind of terrain for travel. The class gets plenty of mileage out it's abilities out of or in combat. Though i understand its not like i can bring a Infernal Machine wagon, cart, or boat into every battle. Most likely most of the time it will be just used to get the party around. This character won't be evil but will have less scruples than most. That being said, party composition and interactions might change her over time, for better or for worse. So with her i get to explore her moral compass and actually establish it alongside a party rather than have it already pre-established. So party interactions will be important. -------------------------------------------------------------- Dr. Vindec Nemur or 'Vin' as he called by his friends is a physician and chemist doing what he can to try to advance the practices into a new era. In order to sharpen his focus and maintain his composure in even the most stressful of situations, he mentally trained himself to the point he could block out his emotions. While he did make great strides in his work due to this being put into play, he began to realize psychologically he was not able to emphasize with his patients. His all out dedication had been admirable but without the ability to relate to his patients he could not hope to heal the other trauma they might accumulate. So he threw himself into his research, trying to do all he could to learn more about the psychological and emotional aspects of the mind. While he indeed learn, without the emotions to make the link he could only make observations and guesses at best. It had become part of him to just automatically close them off as soon as he would endeavor to help his patients. He needed a way to deal with it and regain his former self. That being said he still desired to maintain a certain amount of control. This led him to developing many experimental drugs and tinctures over and over again as he tried to unlock the mysteries of his own mind. Failure after failure, he kept trying for months on end until one day, he created a new elixir. It had the desired effect, finally allowing him fantastic control over his facilities. However there was a side effect. Repeated exposure to the elixir unlocked a different side of himself. A dangerous and horribly violent side of himself. But even this has use....if he can just control it.....control the most hidden and locked away part of himself...Wrath. This one is the Path of the Fractured Barbarian : Basically it focuses on normal barbarian combat and a more intelligent/civilized persona outside of rage. While in rage it focuses on a durable and monstrous unarmed fighter with less control over themselves in general. This character's route is to focus on the knowledge one can gleam from being a physician and chemist(the party's surgeon). It's other focus is to learn to control the ID or other persona gained from his elixir aka rage feature. Both sides will have different personalities in order to reflect who they are.You do not need to worry about party conflict though, ill be keeping that in mind and avoiding it unless of course attacked myself. ---------------------------------------------------- I thank you all for any considerations! Feel free to post here or PM me if you have any questions. Once again thank you and i hope to hear from someone soon indeed. I really want to play these two classes so badly. And i do want to do a game away from what have become my usual groups.
