I am a professional Dungeon Master, running Dungeons and Dragons
5th edition games through virtually on Roll20. You can find my DM profile with
more than 80 review from past players on StartPlaying. This week, as many of my
US players take the week off to celebrate with their families, I am using the
time to offer some free introductory two to three hour one-shot adventures at

The Light of Memoria
This short Kobold Press adventure by Victoria Jaczko serves as
an ideal introduction to the world of Midgard, and specifically the adventure
site at the centre of the "Scarlet Citadel" campaign. Not far from
the citadel itself, and under the influence of the same unique confluence of
magical ley lines and deep shadow roads, a mystical archway leads into the
forgotten ruins of Memoria. The discovery of a mysterious artifact will draw
our heroes into the remains of a community of peaceful necromancers, where they
will discover the tragic fate that befell those ancient spellcasters.
This is an adventure for 2nd level characters that should take
no more than three hours to complete. We will be using premade characters to
get straight into the action. These characters showcase the races, classes, and
spells unique to the Midgard setting. We will be playing through Roll20 and
Discord.

A Map with No Names: A Beginner
Waterdeep Adventure
When our party of upstart adventurers get their hands on a map,
it will lead them through a wild and perilous journey across the City of
Splendor. This adventure is an introduction to D&D 5e, as well as to the
Waterdeep setting, a rich urban campaign world of high magic and high adventure
featured in some of the most successful D&D campaigns of this edition of
the game. This is an exploration/investigation focused adventure, though the
players will have many dangers to face as well. Waterdeep is a rich, diverse
world, where all the well known (and some of the more obscure) peoples and
creatures of high fantasy fiction and games make their home. The adventure
provides a handful of locations for the players to explore in any order they
wish, deciphering clues that lead to the final location and the promised
treasure.
This is a 1st level adventure of two to three hours, using
premade characters.

The Workshop Watches - A
mystery about Technology and Magic, for D&D 5e
This is a one-shot adventure for D&D 5e by Leon James
Barillaro. It was published in the Arcadia online magazine from MCDM
productions. A very short blurb: "In real life, many people fear a
scenario where computerized machines rebel against their creators— and in a
roleplaying game where characters use enchanted items and cast spells to solve
problems, the perfect stand-in for technology is magic.".
The adventure should take about three hours. We will be using
premade character so we should be able to jump right into it. Because of the
level some familiarity with D&D 5e is expected.
