Drag and drop player tokens aren't linked

Steps: I dragged token.png onto the map I open a Character sheet, edit, set selected token as default token I double click the token to pull up edit token, select represents this player and can be edited by this player I set up bar 1, 2, 3 to be hp, ac, passive_wisdom with drop down menu I set up dynamic lighting per this player's darkvision Then when I drag a character sheet on to the map, I expect to see a player token set up as above But what I actually see is 2 players have the correct dynamic lighting, 2 don't.  And no player has any attribute linked. One player's token isn't even linked to their character sheet so they don't even see their own token. What am I doing wrong and how do I fix it? (I also tried to set up the default token setting in game setting, but I don't know the format to fill in the bar 1, 2, 3 attribute box. I tried a few things, but it just ended up saying literally @ac or something)

It's the order of operations. Saving a default token is like saving changes to a file. It must be the last step in the process of token setup. There is no backwards connection: i.e. changes made to a token on the tabletop have no bearing on the saved default token. Here are some helpful links: Here is the wiki article on  Linking Tokens to Journals Here is a  video  which demonstrates the procedure

Hence the new post
