You can reach me on my discord if this interests you at BERT2024#0348 The payments will not begin until after the first session (Free Session 0, Free First Session, Paid Second Session). This is to ensure that we are all on the same page regarding the game. Preference will be given to groups of players looking for a DM over individuals. The game is expected to have a session 0 this Saturday with Session 1 happening next week. I have been DM'ing for quite some time now creating unique maps through inkarnate to populate the world of  Carthacombe. Carthacombe is a world I've created in a series of novels I've been working on and I am currently looking for players who are interested in playing within a world catered to the adventuring side of this game. I'll be adding a lot of information to the setting section but it is only to make sure that players can start from wherever they please. I will be able to bring all the stories together in a certain location depending on what story we want to follow. My main concern is making sure you all are able to start wherever you please, whether that be as a part of a royal family or an orphan trying to learn the ways of the homeless in Caravelle, I will guide you along the path! Setting: Carthacombe is home to individuals known as Sovereign. These beings are born with a mark on their body that imbues them with powers of those who have fallen in the past, known as deities to some, and worshipped as such. You have been born into this world with powers that you don't completely understand. The more deeds you seem to complete give you access to numerous new abilities alongside your current powers. This is to say that there will be a list of achievements players can take a swing at during their adventure to increase bonuses to their stats. This is a custom mechanic I've been working on and we will start each session with me informing the players whether or not they successfully completed any of the tasks which will help them with their powers. Sovereign come in all shapes and sizes in this world filled with custom races such as: The Felyans - A long forgotten group of people with opal skin that almost seems transparent. These beings have a special connection to the mineral known as felyite which powers the majority of the contraptions in major areas within Carthacombe. The Vareshii - A race of people from the Vareshii Highlands, aptly named for the people who occupy the rocky wasteland. These people have facial and bodily features similar to rats and are very ostracized in the communities within Carthacombe as a result of their appearance and unwillingness to unite under the Three Crowns. The Baroliths - A large group of people with arms and legs the size of barrels. Despite their size and strength, the baroliths are a knowledgeable people intent on preserving the world following "The Cataclysm", an event they have predicted since the beginning of time, passed down through generations./. These  races will be interacted with in the world as a majority but the players are free to choose any races from Published DnD Content (No Homebrew or UA) I will incorporate the player's chosen races into the world as we see necessary following our session 0 where we will discuss our first sessions. We will begin playing from an array of adventures I have crafted in this universe which I will alter to fit the play style of our group. The Ten Kingdoms Paradayo Also known as "The Jewel of Carthacombe", Paradayo is the captial of Carthacombe. It is the place where the Three Crowns meet once a year to discuss changes within the many kingdoms within Carthacombe. This place is also home to The Institute,  a large building which houses the most sought after criminals in the world of Carthacombe. Using a special material known as Soulstone,  The Institute is able to deny those within it's chambers access to their powers through use of anti magic fields that are given off by soulstone, the only material in the known world that counteracts the effects of any powers you may have. Aerodesnia (The Floating Cities) The entertainment capital of Carthacombe and the Fashion Industry's starting point when trying to figure out what will sell and what won't, Aerodesnia is home to a vast array of talent. Though some of the people in this city look like they couldn't fight off a raid of anteaters, their defenses are actually powered by the felyite harvested in the depths below the floating cities. The four floating islands that make up Aerodesnia surround a capital location on the ground. It is impossible to make it to this central location without first accessing one of the floating islands from the outside. This place is the hub for entertainment in the world and most bards/maestro's originate from this area. (Maestros in my world of Carthacombe are people who are able to perform in a vast amount of ways through use of their powers granted to them by these "Deities") Stenfell Known as the hub for minerals in the world of Carthacombe, Stenfell is highly regarded as the origin for the strongest materials in all of Carthacombe. Legend states that Calvetica once held this prestigious honor but none have been able to find the deposits below the lands to prove this true.  Stenfell is located just North of Aerodesnia and The Outlands, an area that is home to bandits and brigands that do not fall under the influence of The Three Crowns,  the organization appointed to unite the kingdoms and cleanse the land. Stenfell is also home to the most prestigious of activities as they are one of the few kingdoms with an entertainment ground located several miles outside the main city where Handlers,  (Individuals able to manipulate the previously mentioned felyite) put on shows for those within the region ranging from simple talent showcases to wyvern races and gladiator arenas. Ritro The Religious Center of Carthacombe is known as Ritro. This kingdom ties Stenfell, Aerodesnia, and Caravelle together alongside the Outlands. This place is said to be home to a princess with unshared powers that has been locked away for the safety of the city. The Vareshii Highlands (Arrivore, Kalledia, Norah) The land between the capitol, Paradayo, and The Kingdom of Orphans, Caravelle, is separated by a land that belongs to the rat-like vareshi folk of the world. Despite helping to restore the world's free will in the Age of Creation , the Vareshii have been misunderstood for Three Millenia as the world progresses without them through spite. Caravelle (The Kingdom Of Orphans) During the founding of The Three Crowns,  Caravelle sent an unheard of amount of soldiers to the front lines, both Sovereign and Commoner alike. These individuals all died at the hands of Strick during one of the bloodiest but most significant wars in history that created The Three Crowns. The Three Crowns would go on to unite the kingdoms after The War of the Ten Lands. Despite the victory, Caravelle lost the majority of their parental figures, both male and female, leading to an influx of people looking to raise children and help those that are lost. Caravelle wrote a decree shortly after that ensure only those orphaned would be able to run the kingdom leading to new leadership every 10-45 years over the course of the next thousand years. Kenkado A bamboo filled forest surrounds the kingdom of Kenkado. Those who come to this land ill prepared are said to decorate the outer perimeter of the city with their corpses. Without a proper guide, it is almost impossible for an outsider to enter any of the villages, cities, or the Capitol, within Kenkado. This place is home to the best swordspersons in the world. This is a result of The Eternal Swordsman , a figure the trains those in the way of the blade within the spirit forest located in the capital. Some enter, never to return, while other leave better than ever though possible. Calvetica Calvetica is the kingdom of water. Their main exports are the fish that they have created methods of ensuring the fish stays fresh despite the deliveries that take as much as three months to get across the land of Carthacombe. Between Calvetica and Nepotath is Lyft, a small village in the forest that only few have ever seen. Only those worthy are said to be able to enter Lyft within the forest that separates Nepotath and Calvetica. It isn't entirely known what happens to those that enter because the ones that return refuse to release any information on the civilization hidden within the trees. The Lost World (Gravis, Artrerian Ruins) A crater the size of a kingdom lies between Calvetica and Paradayo. This crater is said to be home to Artreria, a kingdom that existed before The Lost Years , a period in time that has no written history or oral to be passed down. Five years of history are gone from the world and all that was left was the large crated that used to house Artreria. Gravis, also known as The Lost World, now sits in the crater. Within this community, they force their citizens to work within the mines in an attempt to gather the vast resources that have appeared following the crater's creation. Deep below The Lost World, the people of Gravis have encountered a sealed chamber that seems to tell stories of the Lost Years. Whether this will help or harm the world is still a mystery. Acheron (Stormsurge) Acheron is the only one of the ten kingdoms that refuses to obey the authority of The Three Crowns.  As a result of this, many outlaws seeking refuge make their way to Acheron where they can be safe from the grasp of the three crowns. Acheron is it's own continent located directly in the center of Stormsurge, an area that is host to many beacons. Beacons come in many different colors and begin from the bottom of the ocean before rising into the sky and bring with it the monsters from the depths. After rising into the sky from the water, these beacons head to land where they are repelled by The Emerald Knights, in some cases, or wreak havoc on the small communities when not cared about. The beacons come in many colors. Green is the least threatening of the beacons and can be repelled by farmers with pitchforks while the White beacon is said to be the hardest to repel and will always have the Emerald Knights  around to save those in the vicinity. Stories speak of a Black Beacon  that was created in the past but stories turn to myth as the time that created them fades. Nepotath Known as one of the most unyielding of the kingdoms, Nepotath believes that a king will come one day to save them from the tyranny of the Three Crowns. Nepotath is the most reluctant of all kingdoms to let The Three Crowns  interfere but unlike Acheron, they are directly connected to the continent that homes them. This leads to many disagreements and friction as the three crowns attempt to bring Nepotath in line. It is said that someone will free Nepotath from the tyranny of the three crowns one day but none believe it in this era. And that is the setting! Lots of different locations fleshed out with people. Players will have access to the WorldAnvil of the world which will allow them to bring up any information they may need within their region if they decide to play. AS FOR THE CAMPAIGN This will be a level 1-5 start meaning it is completely up to the players to decide where they want to start. I can adjust the DC and fights accordingly.  This will be an almost entirely homebrew campaign meaning new monsters, attacks, spells, racial features, etc being used. I've created an entire campaign setting here and would love for some people to have some fun in it. If you have any questions, feel free to message me on Discord using the name at the top!
