Tuesday am-early PM DnD

HI all! I'm recruiting players for a campaign of 4th edition to be played during the day on Tuesdays. We've typically played from 10:30-2pm central standard time. I have run 3 games so far, and have had a few drop out due to changing work schedule or various reasons. So if your interested in playing a not to serious style adventure, with lots of dungeons filled with loot and monsters to slay, let me know. I'll ask that you make a 1st level character. I will also ask that you can use google hangouts for the chatting. No camera required, but a mic/headphones or headset would be. Rules for character creation: Level 1 abilities: standard point buy Races:from PHB 1 or 2 Classes: also choose from PHB 1 or 2 Feats,powers, etc: If it's not from PHB 1 or 2 let me know where it's from. I reserve the right to veto, don't get too upset if I do, there's lots of powers out there. Starting equipment: 100 gp wortg A bit more about the campaign, the homebase is a place called Restwell Keep which sits at the edge of a valley, that mysteriously attracts evil beings to its various ruins and dungeons. The heroes embark out from their keep at the request of the free peoples of the keep. After you've been invited into the campaign you'll see a more detailed write up. Characters with personal quests or motivations are encouraged. One of the players, Taki, will be helping to do some organizing for me.

I am interested since those are generally the times I am online. Also, I have a lot of experience with 4e and Essentials though my rp skills are a bit rusty. One question I do have is if we can use power options from the Martial Powers, Divine Powers, etc. books?

You would have to clear it through the GM, it really depends on the power/feat and what you plan on doing.

Im interested. Thats a decent time frame for me. I enjoy the feats powers thing as well since i been using 1/2 for most of the stuff, i have the character builder and love seeing some of the powers that just work so much better and i understand that you veto powers to anything you dont agree on. Let me know if i can join and ill get started.

I sent a PM to the gm and havent heard back yet. Need to know what other players are before i start making a character.

well, as far as I know we have a Dragonborn Paladin (Me) and whatever Nelson O is so really, play what you will.

Ok well i made a hafling rogue. Only ability i used not from PHB is clever strike which is from PH heroes 2.

I would like to join, this time is ideal for me. I from the look of things I will be the newb of the group, hopefully for my sake you guys don't mide play with a newb. If I can join i will probably play as an eladrin wizard. 

I guess I can make the leader of the group then. I am still waiting on an answer on certain books that are available to be use in addition of PHB from the GM but I can still get stats and such in order first.

sweet, looks like we got a party, By my reckoning we have a Dragonborn Paladin(Defender), Eladrin Wizard (Controller), Halfling Rogue (Striker) so all we really need is a leader!

Can you have the gm send us an invite?

And I'll even be a fifth character ... but I'd really like to hear from the DM and he hasn't responded to my PM ...

I tried to write log in and play tomorrow. &nbsp;it didnt show all &nbsp;the text on my phone for some reason.

We are still in need of players who will consistently show up or will at least give us a heads up that you can't make it. Right now, we are sitting on 4 players including the DM. As long as you follow the rules that Ryan has posted in the beginning of the thread then you will fit right in. Party -wise, we have a warlord, a paladin, and a wizard. We are in need of strikers currently. The game will be starting at 10:30 CST tomorrow if you are interested in joining us.

@aledas : I don't know 4E much but your ac looks rather low. You have in your inventory hide armor and your dex is 17. The hide ac is listed +3 and don't you add your dex bonus in also? if so then that is +6 and the base ac is 10 (I think). That would make it 10+3+3 =16 if I did the math right and not 13 as you have it listed. On the other hand I could be totally wrong also.

@metroknight : Acctually you are right , probably the builder didint count my armor like i am using it or something , thanks for pointing that out :) Edit : oh right now i get it hehe , yeah i forgot to add that in mithweaver , 4 am over here now so its starting to slow me down xD

no problem. I'm an old schooler when it comes to games and not up to speed on the new systems but the basics are still the basics.

The join link should still be good. Just click and add your character to the post in there. Also if you have a mic that would be awesome as we use Google hangouts to speed up the game. Also if you are able, can you come up with a background for your character? Even if it is short for now

We are going to be in need of a defender if anyone else would like to join us on Tuesdays at 10:30 am CST(-6 UTC) starting next week. The only restrictions are classes and races have to be from PHB 1&amp;2. Feats, powers and other details can come from other sources but you would need to clear it with DM and he does have the right to veto.(The only thing has vetoed has come from Dragon Mazagine but if you have any of the powers books like Divine, Martial, Primal they have gone through)

omg omg omg I have a chance to finally learn 4th edition. *looks at the books shelf where the books have been long forgotten*. Okay so if theres room and you don't mind a pretty much 4th edition version virgin... that one time doesn't count. I would love to join this game and rock the 4e. My understanding we need a defender. So I will get to work on one asap and you lot should let me know if I'm in.

I don't mind it. I just have a question of if you have a mic, whether it is built into your laptop or if have a headset, because we use google hangouts to make the game quicker. Also if you have any questions about character creation, I have a lot of experience with character creation so if you need any help feel free to pm me and I will try to get back to you with a quick answer.
