My name is Zach, and I'm a DM with almost two decades of experience under his belt. I've run all kinds of games, from D&D to other things, but lately I've been interested in telling an Exalted story. I plan to run an Exalted story about heroic mortals eventually exalting during the game, and I have two players looking to play already. What is Exalted? It's a larger-than-life style adventure game that uses White Wolf's Storyteller System(d10) to tell stories. It's set in the bronze age world of Creation, a world of spirits, greedy gods, and cruel demons where every day is a brush with the fantastical. The average mortal prays to the spirits of his ancestors, and may very well expect blessings or assistance from them. Climbing a nearby mountain or passing into a shadowed grove can bring you face-to-face with mountain spirits or the spirit of the wood, and trading your voice for a powerful boon is as much reality for some as bard tales for others. What is my story about? I intend to run a game that starts in the West of Creation, the watery expansive Great Western Ocean that separates the North of Creation from the South of Creation. Think the Caribbean combined with Polynesia for inspiration, as the West is mostly scattered islands separated by big blue waters. The players arrive at the small port town of Vanua, where the festival of Radonya, the return of the ancestors, is taking place. Dancing, singing, fishing competitions, and more are played through the night. Then, during midnight, several young people vanish as pale light passes through the village. Normal men and women take up their arms, and become extraordinary in the process. What am I expecting? 1) Ability to speak understandable English. 2) Willingness to be a participant, not a spectator. 3) Willingness to not be a dick. 4) Desire to actually play. 5) Discord, a decent microphone and a stable Internet connection. 6) Tolerance for a bit of crass humor.
