To all the lovely DM’s out there, We are a group of 3 who have been playing together for about a year now. Unfortunately, our current DM is having some RL issues which prevent him from DMing and playing for the time being. We want to give him the time he needs, but we also want to play. None of us mind temporarily taking up the DM seat, but that obviously only leaves 2 players and we do prefer playing together anyway. This does obviously raise a few questions. How long will we be playing with you? Will we go back to our current DM when he can DM again? Will he join us and play? Could he take over as DM so you can play for once? As much as we would like to answer those questions, we can’t answer them right now. It is a bridge we will have to cross when we get there. We do all have some DMing experience from running one-shots for our group here and there, so we can do a one-shot every once in a while to give you more time to prep the next session and just take a break from DMing and enjoy the game as a player. We are in the age range of mid-twenties to mid-thirties, so a DM in the same age range would be nice. We are LGBTQ+ friendly and live in GMT and GMT+1. We are available to play on Sunday, all day, and on Monday and Tuesday in the evenings. Evenings only starting mid-March/early-April. We have been playing using roll20, Beyond, and Owlbear, while using discord for voice and video. Yes, we do prefer playing with video so we don’t talk over each other too much. We are an RP heavy group and don’t mind a session where it is just character interaction and no combat at all. We don’t mind two PC’s or a PC and an NPC talking to each other for a few minutes if it grows the relationship between the characters for better or worse. We do enjoy combat, of course, but there is no need to force an encounter for our group. Our preference goes to someone who wants to run a few one-shots (with the same characters or different ones. We are all character creating machines.) for us to see if their DM style fits our play style and possibly grow that to a short or long term campaign. We prefer homebrew, but don’t mind a module either. Last but not least, we are not looking for a paid DM. Not because we are cheapskates, but because we want you to enjoy DMing for us and not consider it a job.
