After the argument between Torkunde and Dag, Dignan broke it up. Everyone went back into the Red Odenate for a sullen dinner of space chicken. Captain Helen Swafford took on three new crew in Pathspace. Dag tried to learn more about the past of the castaway child, Sophie. He visited foreign hostel in the city which had a room filled with shrines, each devoted the many foreign gods in Wildspace. Dag was mostly gathering information from Sophie's fragmentary memories for use in later divinatory magic. The Red Odenate took off into the phlogiston again and about eleven days into voyage the ship was waylaid by Yorik the Tricky, the pirate vampire and Benedict his shadow first mate. The pirate ship was a ghost ship filled with ephemerals. The battle was quick and violent with Adwona losing 14 points of strength and Dignan being hit for 38 points of damage. The pirates had 10,000 silver pieces, some assorted cargo and ring of Blinking. Plus a lot scrolls and potions filled with buffing spells. There were all used before the battle.
