5e default template for rollable table

Hi there, Making a crit hit rollable table (my first macro) for a new campaign. Just wondering if there is a way to match the text output with the 5e style as opposed to the default style Code is this - &{template:default} {{[[1t[CHW]]]}} When I change to &{template:5edefault} {{[[1t[CHW]]]}} - nil output comes up in the chatbox Any help is much appreciated Thanks, Simon
Which character sheet template are you using for the game? The '5eDefault' template is for the DnD5E Community Contributed sheet, not the ' D&D 5E by Roll20 ' or ' D&D 5E Shaped' sheets . I'm not familiar with the DnD5E Community Contributed sheet and the 5eDefault template, but if that's the one that you are using, then you are missing a required field title, such as {{description=[[1t[CHW]]]}}. If you make a roll from a character sheet, then click into the chat box and press the up arrow, you should see the command that just got sent to chat and it might list the roll template there, which you could then deconstruct. The D&D 5E by Roll20 sheet has a more fleshed out wiki, so on the templates page , you can see a description of the different roll templates and what fields are available for each.
Thanks for getting back to me. We're using the DnD 5E by roll20 template. Not got enough experience with this stuff to fully understand- but if I go with{ template:desc:} {{[[1t[CHW]]]}} it comes back as just an empty box, any further advice? Thanks again

npcaction is a solid choice it. It gets rid of most of the inline roll style, it's just a little heavier font than regular text. You can always *bold markdown* the rest of text in the template so it sort of matches. Random roll20 trivia regarding roll templates: a scrap of some old 5e template still exists in the body of the Campaign page (at least in a 5e game, but I'm assuming in any game). There's no accompanying CSS so it looks horrid, but here's all the properties: &{template:5e} {{rollname=hullo}} {{attackadvantage=[[1d20]]}} {{damage=[[1d12]]}} {{dmgtype=Boink}} {{dmgcrit=[[2d12]]}} {{atteffect=Ouchies}}
Great- thanks so much for all the advice. One last question. With my rollable tables - I have a block of text like 'Your blade swings with speed and might- roll an extra damage die' Without getting too complex or spending hours on coding (which I dont know how to do) is there a way to spread it over two lines eg. Your blade swings with speed and might roll an extra damage die or make it so the first part is italicised or bolded? Thanks again, Simon
Write it out in notepad how you want it and then paste it into the field in the rollable table and it should preserve the line break.
