I’ve always had an interest in tabletop games and infact did play a little of Fantasy Flight’s Dark Heresy system for a few sessions when I was younger. Recently since starting a new job I’ve had a lot of time to listen to DND podcasts like Critical Role and it reawakened the desire to play. (I am fully aware that production values and stuff for something like critical role are VASTLY different to what most free games can manage and am okay with that.) I’ve thrown together a few characters just for fun I would love to play on DND beyond and can link them to any DM’s or groups interested. I’ve never played 5e but I have been slowly buying up all the rule and source books and I think I, for the most part, have a solid grasp of the rules. But I would love to find a party that is okay with helping me make sure I don’t mess up anything (at least not to grievously and game breakingly for the party). I do very much like to make characters built around their stories more then “what is going to wreck enemies the hardest”. My favorite character so far infact has been an Rogue with the Inquisitive Subclass built around being a “Sherlock Holmes style” investigator and detective. Another fun one is my con artist Warlock hiding the fact that she is an undead or the nobleman “Monk” cursed to be a dhamphir who when they lose control can and will just rip enemies apart. I can provide details or make whole new characters for any setting. If interested and okay with someone learning the ropes, please let me know. Hoping to hear from some friendly groups!
