Looking For DM! Tuesday 3pm-8pm or 4pm-9pm PST ____________________________________ Hayo! We’re four nonbinary LGBTQ+ nerds (all 21+ y/o) that vibe like family and have amazing chemistry. We're looking for a chill, inclusive DM that is down to run a fun character driven RP focused campaign with us! ____________________________________ Availability:  Tuesday Times Available:  3pm-8pm or 4pm-9pm pst Preferred Class:  Colt = Artificer, Keeps = Ranger/ Druid, Bre = Warlock/ Paladin, Pants = Monk Character Level:  Prefer 3 Edition:  5e / prefer Homebrew Medium:  Roll20, Discord Pay-for-Play:  no ____________________________________ Preferred Gameplay Type:  We're looking for a roleplay focused campaign [70rp:30combat] that isn't too silly but also not super gritty. We’re looking for a sandbox, low to mid fantasy, diverse city-focused setting (NY equivalent) . We like intrigue and delving deep into the intricacies of character backgrounds and influences! We also would prefer if there is no fantasy racism  and that the campaign's storyline will be built from or is influenced by our characters main goal of creating a dragon hoard.    ____________________________________ Players:  Bre [She/them], is planning on running a drow warlock mafia enforcer known as Anja Vermicelli, who's the twin sister of Asko (PC). Bre's nonchalant humor is a godsend and their snappy rp and quick thinking lead to fascinating character moments and outcomes. They also will make a weekly slide show of memes based off of each character from the last session. Colt [He/him] plans to run a drow artificer consigliere for the mafia known as Asko Vermicelli, the twin brother to Anja. Colt has a maxed out charisma score in irl and it shows through his unique characters choices and continuous rp-- there is never a dull moment with him around and he's extremely vocal. He is also super well versed in dnd 5e rules but isn't a rules lawyer.    Keeps [He/them] plans to run an furbolg ranger/ druid noble known as Quade Blackwell that grew up alongside the Vermicelli twins to reinforce a noble-mafia alliance. Keeps is a humorous satirical player that is also extremely vocal, they value character dynamics within the group and invest heavily in character development through rp. They also will draw funny character interactions and npc's from the campaign. Pants [She/her] plans to run a drow monk known as Amalthea, is the drow twins' estranged mother that has pledged their efforts to reconnect with their children in their time of need. Pant’s is an engaged role player that makes creative and narratively deep characters that work well with the world and party. Also an excellent note taker! ____________________________________ Character Stories Anja & Asko: Two drow twins, Anja and Asko Vermicelli, find themselves suddenly excommunicated from a criminal syndicate of pasta themed mobster families. They both sport dragon weaponry, with Anja wielding a dragon tooth maul as the more brutal enforcer and Asko wielding a dragon Fundamentum embedded in a gun/ wand contraption of his own making. The once heirs of the Vermicelli family seek out the only two contacts that haven’t burned them for help  — Their mother Amalthea and ex-boyfriend Quade -- and they’ll need it because they’ve been tasked with creating a Dragon’s Hoard. Quade: Quade Akrais Blackwell, a rugged, stoic furbolg with an intrinsic sense of wanderlust is the son of noble politicians and was groomed alongside the Vermicelli twins to reinforce the noble mafia alliance for the next generation. Quade, learning to be a politician from a young age, felt constricted and bound his whole life to the two faced image he was forced to present, along with the immoral actions of corruption he was expected to take part in. Guilt and desperation along with an arranged marriage drove Quade to call upon a favor from a beloved friend, Asko, to request a simple way out of it all. With Asko's help Quade feigned his death and then retired to a hidden warded ranch deep in the woods far off of town, hoping to never be bothered again. Amalthea:  An estranged drow mother who banged our Dragon Dad. In their youth they fled an arranged marriage from a noble land far far away to the city they now live in today. Having partied through their wild days to the ripe elven age of 100(ish), they now seek to reconnect with their children who have come to them for help. ____________________________________ If you're interested please respond by filling out the mini questionnaire, If your stuff looks good I'll message you so we can further chat on discord. name: age: pronouns: Discord: (optional, can private msg) What you're looking for in a group: type of DND games you enjoy running: fun campaign story you've been a part of: how long have you been playing?: any house rules we should know about: World pitch: What makes your world engaging  and  interesting, bonus points if you have a diverse and expansive city/ city state with an enchanted forest a ways off town.
I'm not saying this to be critical, but from all the descriptions it sounds like you already have a world, some interesting characters and a long term goal. Since you're more into roleplaying, seems like you could just use a rules-light collaborative system and play through it yourselves instead of 5E?
I have been thinking about running a new game. It is not D+D based at all. I have been looking to run the new twilight 2000 game. Which is a very open-world sandbox setup. Been setting things up slowly right now and trying to learn the stuff for how things work on roll 20 right now for the first longer-term game than a one-shot I have done once.
