IPAD CHROME - Error MAP IS says "Loading" but never does...

We have a few players with Ipads. A few of those are unable to sucessfully launch the campaign when logging in via the Chrome Browser. Specifically, the MAP area says "loading" but never does. ANy suggestions?

Hi Matt! Are all players launching onto the same page? Depending on the ipad model, a map might be balking for older or less capable units. As a quick test, try moving the player flag to a simpler or empty page.If that loads, it lets you know that the issue is not likely with the iPads, users or Roll20 in general, but something specific to that page. If they have the same problem regardless of page, then it might require other diagnostic steps. And choice of browser matters little on the iPad. Regardless of what the browser says on the cover, the engine underneath is identical to Safari, i.e. WebKit.
I think Roll20 still bombs out on newer versions of WebKit when a page uses Updated Dynamic Lighting. If you check the Javascript console on the endlessly loading page you should see something like this: [Error] WebGL: INVALID_OPERATION: getAttribLocation: program not linked [Error] WebGL: INVALID_OPERATION: getUniformLocation: program not linked [Error] Error: Program has not been successfully linked. Specifically the last couple of posts may contain a workable solution.

This must be right. I switched the page to Legacy Lighting and things work fine. And a friend with an older OS, not the newer webkit, worked fine on Dynamic lighting. Maybe ROLL20 could solve this issue before abandoning Legacy Lighting? As this has been a known issue for over 2 months, I hope Roll20 is working on a fix and plan to roll it out before cutting off Legacy Lighting. A lot of people use Ipads.

Did you try turning off WebGL via Metal ?
Yes. It works, however, only in Safari. We use the Beyond20 plugin with Chrome in order to bring the DND Beyond data into Roll20. Ideally the solution would also fix Chrome. Any thoughts on how to turn off WEBGL via Metal in Chrome on the Ipad?

How do you install an extension in Chrome on the iPad? AFAIK, it's all webkit, and though it says Chrome on the title, that's just for things like syncing bookmarks. The rendering engine is the same as Safari. Unless something has change drastically, a Chrome extension should not work on an iOS device.
Thats a good point...... :)
