Hello Everyone, I have an idea and a request for help. I am a high school English teacher in Ontario Canada. I am in the process of "gamifying" my classes. Gamification is using the principals of games (leaderboards, awards and prizes) to increase engagement in the classroom setting. Gamification is the hottest trend in education right now. While working on this during the summer, I started using Roll20 to achieve this goal. Unfortunately, I have run into a few road blocks that a can't get past and a few pieces that are not even options at this point. Many of my issues stem from how the information can be presented and source material being linked to Roll20. I understand this may be a big undertaking, as I have no programming skills at all. Some of the ideas I am stuck on include: Being able to click a token and be taken to an outside source, youtube, pdf docs, or the company sites or brightspace/Desire to Learn, D2L or to a google doc /spread sheet (for leaderboard) and google drive for student storage capabilities. I have been gaming for 35 years and love what Roll20 brings to the table, literally. I would love to expand it's capabilities to include education in particular the English genre. Currently, I have an over arcing story that links the units together under one theme. The students make avatars and simplified characters and get to experience roll playing situations as the learn about the curriculum. I hope this is of interest to people and we can get input from other educators as well as from the great community that visit Roll20 weekly and even daily. Please feel free to provide what ever feedback you deem appropriate. Thanks to those who have been kind enough to help me get to this point. Your help is always appreciated. Heath Anderson
