Cleric still needed d&d 4e game

We are starting in a few minutes, need a cleric :D Thanks
You know you have 4 threads on the front page, right? Could you please be courteous to people not interested in your game and not spam the forum?
OKay I have a paladin ready if you are still interested in taking me on.
Good call, no one should post threads unless there is interest in it. So post a pre thread to check interest in your thread before posting next time pls.

Exactly, the interest checks could be posted in general on-topic instead of lfg?! /end sarcasm.  There is a plethora of logical reasons to post a new thread and most pertain to the intrinsic tendency of a person lfg to skip a long thread from two days ago with a ton of views/replies. It's the nature of advertising as well, having a thread on the front page of the table top is going to get hits. Why would one not combine these logics? Then there is the option to not read the thread, why are you even reading this unless it is relevant to your interest? ;) Quickly we need the dude or perhaps an applicable philosoraptor.
You don't need interest checks. Your sarcasm doesn't make sense in this context, because you are the only one who ever suggested them. The point that flew right over your head for a third time is that people who are not interested in this game do not need to see it four times on the front page. This thread has a target audience, and that target audience is not 100% of the forum crowd, so why should this particular thread have 400% of the front-page real-estate that other threads have? Spamming your topic over and over again is not going to increase interest. It's going to annoy people. And that is exactly what you have succeeded in doing, Voth — annoying people. You should get a special trophy next to your name. "Voth - Supporter and Forum Troll".

It's unfair or at the very least rude to other users, because in taking up 4 slots on the front page, you REMOVE 4 other threads from those slots on the front page to the second page, lessening their chance to be noticed. Spam actively affects other people looking for groups with their own threads. There are plenty of logical reasons to spam. If you want the most attention, get the most face time. There are also plenty of logical reasons to think that the person spamming is being inconsiderate to other users and selfish, being that you're taking way four other user's face time.  Being logical doesn't make you reasonable. Spamming being a faux pas isn't a new thing, it's pretty much forum etiquette 101 on almost every rules FAQ on the internet. I'm surprised Roll20 doesn't have one, and/or that their moderators are slacking. Maybe it's because these forums usually just don't have this type of problem, because the community is generally mindful of their actions.
April 05 6:37PM (13 hours ago) This what his last post in a thread with 4 comments. April 05 6:52PM (13 hours ago) This what his starting post in this thread, for the same topic, looking for a cleric for 4e. A total of 15 minutes. He also posted two threads @  April 05 4:49PM and  April 05 3:45PM . That's a total of 4 threads for 4 hours, all on the front page, all looking for users to join the same group. That's ridiculous.
Ya know if people really didn't want to see the threads he made they could just go past it and find more threads. The target audience for this thread is clearly 100% of users since they want to find a player among that 100%. Also you posting on his thread brings more attention to the thread that you are trying to advocate against. Clearly there are some inconsistencies with both your logic in posting that message and your math.

Clearly there are some inconsistencies with both your logic in posting that message and your math. I think you just overloaded your brain cell doing all that "math". His target audience is people who want to: Play D&D Play D&D 4E Play a cleric in D&D 4E Play at a specific date and time that has been pre-set and is non-negotiable. That does not seem like 100% of the forum to me. His target audience is probably less than 5%, and that's being generous. The other 95% are being subjected to being his audience, whether they like it or not. Also, I don't have anything against this thread. The game is probably long over, anyway. What I have something against is the disruptive behavior of the user who started the thread. Unless he unfollowed his own topic, I'm sure my rebukes are quite visible to him, and my purpose is accomplished.
