Hi! I'm looking to join (or—if need be—create) a small group to do some serious heavy roleplay. By that, I mean that the focus should be on the roleplay, the characters, and whatever story we make together. Dice rolling and combat are great, but should be in service of the roleplay and not feel disconnected and separate. Heavy roleplay? Just to be clear... What I want is to play with people who take playing the role of their characters seriously, build connections and lore together, care about integrating the player characters into the main story, and aren't afraid to get invested and emotional. You don't have to do a perfect accent or anything... but speaking as your character is important to me. I also enjoy the real danger of choices having permanent repercussions, including character death. The point is to create a compelling story and enjoy it together as it plays out! System? I'm willing to try any system but I would rather avoid traditional combat-focused systems like D&D. I have experience playing and GM:ing a few different systems. I especially enjoyed Low Fantasy Gaming. When? I'm GMT +1. I work part-time so weekdays are doable as well as weekends. I'm very flexible! Tone? I love drama and tragedy. Currently, I'm very into (low) fantasy and pirates (I'm obsessed with Our Flag Means Death). I love experiencing the ups and downs of life through roleplay and don't shy away from difficult topics. I like most tones and settings, as long as they're taken seriously. Obviously, if I GM I let my players set clear boundaries to keep them comfortable and feeling safe. Player or GM? As I said, I'm willing to do both! If I can't find a group but there are other players here who are interested, I'd be happy to GM for a small group once per week or so. So! Are there any groups or players out there who feel the same way? Post here or send me a DM!
