The Nuts and Bolts: * Games will be played **Sunday Night 6/7pm Pacific weekly** 3+ hours. (No more than 4hr max or 10pm) * Played using Roll20, Discord, D&D Beyond. * Voice AND Video. (Sure if you need to go off cam for a bit or a session etc, but mainly on cam) * Characters currently are level 5 (Use point buy system please - No Variant Humans for reasons) * First 2 sessions are free - then it is $10 per session. Pay using Venmo (US)/Paypal (Non US). This covers the enormous amount of time I put into this fully homebrew world as well as all of the resources I will have available to players - Access to all but 1 or 2 source books through D&D Beyond. * Sessions are recorded and uploaded to YouTube as part of our series.       Racism, Sexism, any real "ism" that makes anyone feel othered won't be tolerated. If its an honest and innocent mistake through lack of knowledge, we can work with that. Knowingly/doing so with full awareness will bring a swift ban hammer down upon your soul. We're here for fun. And occasional tomfoolery. December 12 Update - We have space for 1: * Roland - Warforged Barbarian * Luka Firbolg Druid/Ranger * Kai - Half Elf Warlock * Quorin - Gnome Artificer * Joe - Human Ranger/Fighter The Plot Thickens... No one has come through a portal in some time. The locals believe its been close to 1000 years since the last arrivals. The sudden appearance of the adventurers challenges the very idea that all the portals are closed. This brings rise to an old legend that there was a traveler able to make it back through a portal to their true existence...so the tale goes. Maybe these new adventurers can do something...anything to help? The adventurers have begun discovering and unveiling many things, some political in nature, some divine or hellish...they have encountered dragons, odd strange beasts and spirits, and no small amount of odd chaotic cosmic situations! Being ok with the unknown is a bit of a given here as discovery, puzzles, riddles and secrets abound. About Me: Hi! I'm Josh. I'm 34, from New Zealand (but I live in USA). I'm married to a beautiful woman named Treasure (yes literally). Have a baby, love smoking meat and fish that I catch. Enjoy a nice whiskey. About the Campaign: This is a homebrew campaign using the D&D 5e rules setting. Eos is *outside of time* as far as the history and the lore of Dungeons and Dragons are considered. Races long extinct can be found here as well as future races or hybrids not yet encountered. The D&D World as you know it with its rich history, amazing events of catastrophic destruction and birth of new nations and lands....simply do not exist in Eos. Instead - enter a world of all people and times. A world that due to *cosmically* unique events, brings new souls, faces, races and situations every day. There is magic (no advanced technologies) and there are gods, prophecies, myths, legends, rumours etc. In adventuring through this world - the adventurers will understand that the one thing they can always count on is the unknown. *This a potentially epic campaign of astounding power and might.* The adventuring party will have the opportunity to save people & towns, hunt dangerous beasts of legend, change the course of history, discover an unknown or forgotten race or perhaps even unseat gods. The 3 Empires & The Orders: There are only 3 large empires on Eos; *Duugath*, *Kalothal* and *Zeitia*. Despite having a single leader in each empire they are not dictatorships and have separated branches for *Government* and *Church*. The influence of these 4 Orders can bring an interesting difference in the interactions of people in the world. These aren't the sort of people you want to mess with...Or... maybe you do?  - *The Knight Order* (The Martial arm of the Government)  - *The Mage Order* (The Mystical forces for the Government)  - *The Templar Order* (The Sword and Shield of the Church)  - *The Priest Order* (The Spirit of the Church) Homebrew-y Rules: * Potions are a bonus action on self, Action on others * Flanking is +2 to hit, 3 flanking is +5. - just like cover. * Loot gained in a group setting and not "assigned" as yours is considered group loot until the in character discussion is had. Sold "group loot" is considered group funds to be spent by the group agreeing. * PVP is only allowed if all parties are on board before hand and I've been made aware. * We try not to "perception" the forest or "Investigation the room". Instead we use our describing words to tell me WHAT your character is aiming to achieve in hopes of gaining a perception/investigation/other skill check. Like wise we try not to discuss numbers (ability scores/skill bonuses & modifiers) in character. The likelihood a barbarian says "well my strength score is 19 so let me kick this door in" is very low, but "I'm strong as a mountain, i'll kick in this puny door" is likely. * Passive scores net you a fair amount of gain and aid story pace - make sure i know/remember them. This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of $10USD per session via Paypal/VenmoRoll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements.
