This program needs a trim tool for the Dynamic Lighting Layer. It would save SO much time.

Like every basic CAD or drawing package, a trim tool would be so nice to have for making maps.

This would be really nice feature for non-pro users. Those with a Pro account might find the PathEditor script useful.

I would so love a trim or break line tool!  There's even space for it on the tool bar if you get rid of the problematic freehand drawing tool! I don't know how many times I've forgotten to leave a gap for a door or window and had to delete and redraw DL boundaries. It's worse with free-form shapes done with the polyline tool because they're so much more of a pain to redraw. A stretch tool for polylines would be great too, although PathEditor is a pretty good workaround for that. ( I did 2D drafting using Autocad for over 30 years and I miss some of its basic tools whenever I'm drawing on the DL layer)

Rick, to add a door in the middle of a complex polyline with PathEditor: Select the path and start editing Select the two nearest control pts on either side of where you want the door Add two pts from the PathEditor menu and position them where you want the door edges to be Select those pts and use the Split function. Your large polyline will now be in three pieces, and you can re-color and move your door as you want  Of course, an integrated tool would still be handy and not rely on script workarounds, not to mention would be available to free/plus users.
Thanks for that, David! I hadn't worked out using Split to create openings yet.
