Token Waypoint Movement is instant?

I saw a player using the waypoints to move his token along from waypoint to waypoint. When I try to use it it shows me the waypoints, but as soon as I let got on the final space, the token instantly appears on the final space instead of moving from waypoint to waypont, no matter what campaign I am in. If I check the movement with X it shows all former waypoints.

From the perspective of the user, waypoint movement is instantaneous. From all other player's perspective, the token travels by all the waypoints.
