Hello! My name is Desmond and I'd like to try my hand at running some paid games. I'm looking for some committed players that want a committed game they can invest in. Full disclosure, this is my first attempt at running paid games so bear with me as I learn more. I'm not a newbie though. I've got about 2000~h on roll20 and even more IRL when it comes to experience and know-how. I've been playing D&D for about 8 years now, and I hope to keep playing it for another 30 (at least). If you've gotten this far, I've got your attention, so let's get to the meat of things. Payment and Pricing Per player per-session fee= $15 CAD Session fee= $15 CAD The session fee will be split among the players. So if there are three of you, it will be $5 each, bringing your total up to $20 a session. If there are five of you, it would be $3, bringing your per-session fee to $18. Payment should be made in the form of a PayPal transaction and be sent in advance prior to the session. Disclaimer: Between weekly and bi-weekly games, prices may vary, and I am open to negotiating something that works for everyone. This game will require a minimum payment to the Game Master at a rate of $15 CAD per session per player as well as a $15 CAD session fee divided as chosen by the player(s). Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements. The Game I have plenty of pre-prepared material, such as an isekai-themed campaign and nearly a multiverse's worth of unique settings, but am wholly open to building something new from scratch at the group's discretion. This would include building a whole new world with the themes and settings the group is interested in exploring. For example, a dust barren sword and sorcery-themed open-world campaign or a linear high fantasy dungeon crawler filled with puzzles. I expect to run games of a minimum of 3-4 hours, but longer games could be negotiated for a higher fee. Session 0 Is free! But I wouldn't mind the standard session fee if you were feeling generous hahaha. It's more of my way of proving that my skills and services are worth your money. I'll work with you and the group to help build your characters and your backstory to fit into a world we craft (or modify) together. The session will be as short or as long as you guys want it to be. I'll be there to help you guys get a good idea of the kind of game you want to play and the characters you want to roleplay. Out of prudent necessity, basic pre-game things will be discussed before the details of the game itself in session zero. Things like personal boundaries, game expectations, etc, etc... Availability Except for Wednesday, any day or time after 12 pm (noon) EST! My schedule is open at the moment, so scheduling is something we can work out. Requirements Discord, PayPal, and a microphone. Things to know My strengths as a DM lie in vivid descriptions and enthusiastic storytelling. The more invested in the game you are the more you will get out of it. I live by the rule of cool and am perfectly willing to bend rules or make up new ones if it will improve the game experience. Get creative, and I will most certainly reward you for it.
