I'm finding myself building maps and then moving the characters between them. For example I'm working on a city map where some structures are multi story. I can move the characters from one map to the next, and they can look out through windows for example at the roofs of other buildings etc. Or they could be running around from rooftop to roof top. What would be neat however, is if players on the upper rooftop layer could look "down" to the players on the lower steet level or lower layer from the upper layer. I could envision that there are maps on top of each other and tokens that can simply be designated as on another layer as some kind of property. And having the ability to say designate areas of the upper map area as transparent to view tokens (only) on the lower layer would be really cool. Maybe it would be too hard to implement, but it would save me jumping between maps mid combat and would allow players on a higher level to simply look down at the lower level and see the tokens below them...
