Players can draw on handouts

I'm getting ready to run Keys From the Golden Vault and it would be very handy if the players could open the handouts they have access to and draw on the handout (if they have DM permission to do so). Everyone should be able to see the drawing. That would mean that players could use the player maps, plan their strategy on those maps (so changes show in real time for everyone) and open them up anytime while they are on the 'real' map to see what they have changed and adjust their plan accordingly.
You can easily implement this by converting it to a map page. The handout is the page. Though everyone can draw on it
Yeh, that's what I do now but it doesn't really work for what I want. I want them to be able to follow a map/plan as they move through the actual space. You can't do that if you are having to flick between screens all the time.
