I was thinking it would be cool if I could have my players make ability checks, but not know what they rolled. So, I could have the rogue check for traps, for instance, and they might roll a 1. If they know they rolled a 1, they know not to trust what I say, but if they don't know what they rolled, then I can tell them confidently they didn't find a trap (same as if they'd rolled an 18), and they'll be none the wiser. I was thinking the roll result is tagged with the player who rolled it, and the date/timestamp. That way, I can show them the roll later. They still controlled their own destiny that way. Has this been discussed?
