Best browser for R20

Would've loved for R20 to have Opera support but unfortunately there isn't :/ Chrome has been pretty laggy as well, even causing problems for some of my players when logging in. So I was just curious what browsers y'all are using to run games?

I use Chrome, mostly because I typically armchair-use Roll20 from a Chromebook, although I run and play on a Mac. I have used Firefox in the deep past, whenever it seemed to have leap-frogged Chrome in performance. I have not had any game-affecting Chrome issues in years, though, so Firefox is mostly used for testing. The real and true answer for which browser to use, though, is whichever one works best for you . "Supported" just means that if a browser update breaks Roll20, then Roll20 commitment is to update the code to account for it. Browsers all have little bits and pieces that work differently, and are constantly under development. To make something like Roll20 work requires leveraging a lot of different services and technologies. This gets harder and harder to do as you multiply browsers. Back when Roll20 first decided on these two, they were pretty much tied for user base, after Internet Explorer, and the writing was already on the wall for that old software. Nowadays, Chrome is head and shoulders above all other installs, across platforms and devices. I'm kind of surprised that firefox is still supported, since it has less installs than even Safari (which is artificially inflated due to mobile installs). I have had players use Edge, for instance, when it worked better for them. Another I think used Brave. Out of curiosity, what about Roll20 is broken on Opera? Just generally poor performance, or does something actually not even work?
I use Chrome and Firefox normally, but i do have a secondary account that i use to test things out and I use Opera for that with no problem.  If you like Opera then i would suggest giving it a go and seeing how well it works for you while having Chrome or Firefox available as a back up if things start to play up.
Using Firefox as main, Chrome and Chromium for backup and secondary accounts. Both perform ok (on mac mini and linux pc's).

I use firefox exclusively, and use separate Containers for sandbox and normal games (so I can keep them both open and don't have to worry about one getting replaced whenever I load the other). It's handy for being logged in to the same game under two accounts. I do test on Chrome to see if sheets I'm building work properly. I havent seen any performance issues in either for a while, but I have seen at least one performance difference . If your using Optgroups, in Chrome the dropdown list appears with one fewer click than firefox (you have to click in to the box containing the list, then click it again to get the list to show up).
Firefox here and chrome as a back-up when prepping and then when I run my sessions I run my game off of firefox and my stream account is logged in via chrome. I personally find firefox has the least amount of lag/issues, especially when you're prepping your sessions.
I and most of the people I play with use Chrome except for two that prefer Firefox. When designing encounters, I'm often logged in with Chrome on my main account and with Firefox on my (free) dummy account so I can see how things will look to my players in real time. While using Roll20 I keep the number of active browser extensions to only an antivirus, a password manager and Stylus.
I only run Firefox, as do two of my regular players, but that's because I like it and am really familiar.  One of the other regular players often plays off a laptop using Chrome and we get the occasional "hang on, it's all gone pear-shaped. let me reload...nope still broken, wait one while I load into Firefox".  It can't be a game breaker for that player as they go back to Chrome, but I can't recall the last time I had a problem when using FFox.
When I start r20 on Opera it just gives me the message that the website isn't supported there, although I've yet to run into issues when actually using it. Thank you for all your helpful replies!

Firefox and Chrome are the officially supported browsers, and since early every browser is built on Chromium (like Opera), they should probably work okay.
