Animated tokens appear and disappear, appear different to different players

I've used animated tokens, usually one at a time or for a bit of flavor.  For a particular campaign, for an overworld map, I used about twelve, to represent a "large" number of problems.  And there were. When I refreshed, I lost a bunch. I thought it was a copy-paste problem. So I created a few more. All told, I think there were twenty. Which ones were visible, to which players, as players refreshed the tabletop was never certain, and nobody saw the same number in the same spots.  It took five refreshes and mass-deletes to finally get rid of them all, but in the meantime, during a game, it was distracting and problematic for a big reveal to go so badly.  Not sure what the limitation was, or what caused it, but it's put me off using animated tokens at all currently, wasn't sure if somebody could look into it.  There was no mod or api associated with this, this was baseline Pro account drag-and-drop of bought from the marketplace visual assets.

Animated graphics have always been problematic. I usually avoid them. Sorry you ran afoul of issues. My suggestion would be to file a  Help Center Request . It's unlikely to have an immediate effect, since they have always been a problematic feature. But it will create a ticket. And tickets get logged and don't go away until resolved. Enough people calling attention to this will eventually cause action. I hope. ;) (FWIW, it hit-or-miss that forum reports will get dev attention. It almost certainly won't generate a ticket. The forum is mostly community support.)

I'll file a bug report, since it may not be something they're aware about.
