Unsharing with players

Hi there. I'm just starting a Blade Runner 2037 campaign and getting set for the players. When I view as player, I see that one of the items (a description of the bad guy squad in the climactic finale!) is currently visible. This was the case out of the box when I set up this game, I had not interacted with it in any way. Also, none of my players are logged in or have opened the game. I tried the following with no luck: Left click > Edit to check settings. There no players listed for In Journals or Can Be Edited By. There are no notes or anything. I Duplicated the asset and then tried Archiving it. I un-archived and then deleted the asset. I renamed the Duplicate asset so hopefully I can use it. Despite all of this, when I rejoin as player, the original asset is still there. Any suggestions?

Hi Matt! Some questions: Can you provide a link to the exact marketplace offering that you are using to create your game? Also the name of the asset that you are able to see as a player? (You can PM me the info, if you think this might be a spoiler in open forum). I will try to verify the issue. Does the token represent a character? You mentioned left-click edit to check permissions, but that would only give token permissions, if you are left-clicking on a token. If the token represents a sheet, the permissions might be on that.

Thanks so much, Keith! The exact marketplace offering I purchased was: https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/bundle/20344/blade-runner-the-roleplaying-game-core-package . It's a bundle of the Core Ruleset plus the Starter Box, including the initial module that this component is from. The exact asset is below: SPOILERS BUT PRETTY MINOR IF YOU'VE SEEN 2049, IMO! The asset is called THE WALLACE HIT SQUAD.

Hi Matt, Sometimes when viewing as a player there can be a glitch where you are still in GM mode, or still have access to things you had as a GM. It can get a bit confusing. Instead of using Player mode use a dummy account on a different browser. That way you avoid any glitches and you can make changes and observe them in real time without switching back and forth between player and GM modes. With that said, I can confirm that the "Wallace Hit Squad" handout is set to be viewable by all players. Editing it so that it is not is a simple matter.

OK, I've looked at it, and the likely issue is that there are two very similarly named assets in different folders. One " The Wallace Hit Squad" is given the "All Players" permission. This is likely an error, and as Gauss says, easily rectified. This is the one that is showing up for players. The other asset (the one you highlighted and have been working on is "Wallace Hit Squad" (no "The"), and is hidden to players as expected. Solution: Edit permissions on " The Wallace Hit Squad" to remove "All Players" and you should be good to go. If you want to save other people from this issue, you could try contacting Free League Publishing and perhaps they could issue a patch. Contact info for them is at the bottom of this page .
Keith, amazing. Thank you. I never would have thought to look for a second copy of the asset. It was there exactly as you said and had the wrong permission. I removed that permission and am totally fixed. I will contact Free League for the patch request. Thanks so much for your help!
