Range rings for character/token visibility and ability to limit character/token vision to a distance

Hello, I'd like to request range rings on character visibility as an option to display on a GM overlay. An option to display to players would be good as well.     For example, if I have a couple characters who have 60' dark vision and one or two with devil sight (120') vision, I'd like to be able to see at a glance where their respective vision ends without having to disable vision on all other tokens.   While I can color code the vision for tokens, it makes it hard for my players to see (older people, playing on a large TV in a living room) as they can't make out the detail that is present on the computer screen.   Range rings would give a quick reference at a glance.  As a part of this, I'd like to be able to limit their vision during "daylight" settings as well. For example, if we are fighting in a foggy day, then I can set their visible range to say 100 feet, reflecting the reduced visibility of the fog/smoke/obscuration.
When I have a player whose character has special vision (long range darkvision, devil's sight, etc.) I sometimes give their token an aura that only the GM can see. This sometimes makes the map look weird, but that only affects me as GM. Other times, I just use CNTRL-L to check that character's line of sight as the situation warrants. As for limited vision for fog, etc., what I've done is turn off Daylight Mode for the map and gave each token night vision with the dimming effect and  restricted the vision distance and dimming to whatever visibility I want, since actual darkvision is useless in fog or similar circumstances. For example, I had an episode where the party were exploring a lair that the resident lich had filled with the "Guards & Wards" spell. I restricted vision for all characters who had darkvision to a range of 10 ft. with the dimming effect and set the dimming to begin at a distance of 1 ft. For characters without night vision, I would apply the same settings if they lit a lantern or torch. (I created macros using TokenMod to speed up the vision setting changes as they entered the lair) Situations like fog, heavy snow, etc., are where I would really like to be able to define the areas that the PC's vision doesn't reach to something other than just a black void, even if it's just a different color like a shade of grey.
There's a current suggestion for Aura 'rings' that already has 30+ votes:&nbsp; <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/11383283/slug%7D" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/11383283/slug%7D</a> There have been many suggestions for a Token max vision range, but I don't think there are any that are currently open: <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/9964609/slug%7D" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/9964609/slug%7D</a> <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/9022665/slug%7D" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/9022665/slug%7D</a> <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/9605297/slug%7D" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/9605297/slug%7D</a> <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/9837383/slug%7D" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/9837383/slug%7D</a> <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/9705540/slug%7D" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/9705540/slug%7D</a> <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/10783070/slug%7D" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/10783070/slug%7D</a> <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/2704712/slug%7D" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/2704712/slug%7D</a> <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/2704712/slug%7D" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/2704712/slug%7D</a>
I tried out Auras last night in our game. I found it too cumbersome and cluttered the screen.&nbsp;&nbsp; For Auras to work i need to adjust their transparency and they need to be something that only I (GM) can see.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Using aura's does clutter the screen. I use it only when one or two PCs or NPCs have special vision capabilities. As for GM-only visibility, that can be designated under the token settings by de-selecting "see" in the three-dot menu next to the Token Aura settings: ALAN J. said: I tried out Auras last night in our game.
