Looking for female gamers

Hi folks, My group and I continue to lament the lack of female gamers. We are a small group, three guys, one gal. Parenthood is taking a bite out of Tracey's time, but she'd love to see another woman or more join our CoNTINUUM game. Time travel, teleportation... What more could you want? Come help us ignore stereotypes and rid the future of twisted, evil people who would warp reality to their own ends. CoNTINUUM is not that hard as such, though it does require a bit of discipline... Life as a time traveller is not carefree. Given that your every waking moment is vulnerable to attack from selfish asshats who would deliberately pop back in time 50 years, cause your grandparents to not meet, just to distract you from stopping them winning the lottery 17 times... But if you've ever felt a whistfull sigh when watching a period drama on tv, this is your game. Your life will be part time-cop, part anthropologist, part creator of a future that ensures a glorious ascension for all life on earth. There's a war behind the day to day lives you used to live. A war that has been raging for 20,000 years. We know who wins of course, we're time travelers. But that doesn't mean we can just skip to the end.
Yes Benjamin, I'm regretting opening this thread. Sorry female humans, I imagined at least roll20 would be a safe space.

Tuck S. said: I imagined at least roll20 would be a safe space. Still is, some people are just going to be jerks. Report them (like you did) and we'll come in and clean up. Regarding your LFG post, you might want to tighten up your demographic with your group request. A young mother gamer is probably looking for gaming companions of her age demographic. Same headspace, ya know? If potential lady gamers that join your game are also fellow mothers, all the better, because they'll understand the difficulty of schedule juggling for a game when you have kiddos to micromanage time around.
Thanks Kristin. I'll have a look at the LFG post.
I have had luck with female gamers in my groups here on roll 20, they exist, but they are generally wary. Good luck with the recruiting effort.

My brain's still winding up to speed this morning. Tuck, if you want me to edit the title of the LFG to something more narrowed down, let me know and I'll fix it. Do you think CoNTINUUM would be a hard game to teach? I've never heard of that game before. if it's something a newbie can jump in, you might want to explain what the game is like to better get people interested. More information on the game you're recruiting for is always best. What James S. mentioned is very true.

Hey Tuck, I know for a fact there is at least one group of lady gamers here. I encouraged a lady to create her group for ladies only because of how they were being treated. I haven't seen the group and can't remember the name off hand for it has been over 6 months or more but she had over 50 members last time I ran across her group in the lfg. Good luck and everyone stated, explaining more detail should help. Happy gaming.
Thanks folks. Great advice. Kristin, CoNTINUUM is not that hard as such, though it does require a bit of discipline... Maybe I should put that in the ad?

Absolutely would help, Tuck. I don't think many gamers are aware of the game system. So they'll need an introduction of what it's like.
I am a female gamer, 48, kids are grown. I am definitely interested, but the only problem is I have absolutely no experience in Continuum. I'd love to learn though. think of it as expanding my horizons.

ANYONE posting in this thread and not actively applying to play in Tucks game will be dealt with. Keep the comments to the topic of applying to and playing in this game. I have deleted comments (and responses) that do not have anything to do with applying to the game. If you are not applying to this game you have no business posting here. If you see an offensive comment flag it and move on, please do not respond to it as that only perpetuates the issue.

Rogue, I believe this means you're on the East coast of the USA? If so, the game starts at 03:00 your time...
wow, thats awfully early for me, and I have to work. I get every other Monday off. Wait is that tuesday my time or monday morning my time? Either way, it doesn't look like a good fit, does it? I'm sorry, I was looking forward to it.
Yeah, sorry. A shame.
We have one more slot for a female. The game starts from Saturday 20:00 USA west coast time, and runs every other week. Or, 13:00 Oz east coast time if you're one of the lollypop guild like me.

Greetings fellow human. I'm running a pathfinder game too, but it's just filled up. It runs on the alternate Sundays (Oz time). Are you sure I couldn't convince you to try a game where you can travel in time and space at will?
