The Game Master friend of mine was
recently telling me about a campaign he was going to run, and I instantly fell in
love with the premise, yet sadly he aborted the project for a number of reasons
involving other players, and instead shifted to campaigns I have no interest in.
Still, the GM was generous enough to share with me the rough outline and
details he had for the campaign, so I’m hoping against hope that a kind and generous
soul would be willing to run a one-on-one campaign. For background, I’ve been part of
several large campaigns with multiple players, but they have generally left me
feeling unfulfilled and frustrated. I’ve since come to the conclusion that a
solo-player campaign might be more my speed, so I’m looking for a patient and
understanding GM to run a solo-player campaign for me in the system of their
choosing. I’ve only played Pathfinder in the
past, though my grasp of the system and its mechanics is spotty at best, on
account of the wide gaps in time between sessions, combined with the large number
of players, and Game Master and players being less-than accommodating when
teaching the game’s mechanics. I am absolutely willing to learn
new systems, but would need to be taught the system, likely with tutorial
sections.
I’m hoping that a one-on-one campaign
will allow me to grow comfortable as a player and allow me to explore the game
without feeling the overwhelming pressure and anxiety from traditional multi-player
campaigns.
