The world of Faerun is in trouble. Corruption threatens every temple, every noble court, every military fortress. Fiendish creatures, eldritch abominations, and demonic spirits defile the beautiful places of the world. Unrest, strife, cults, and secret societies lurk beneath the surface of otherwise pastoral towns and cities. Bands of marauders and bandits plague the countryside and pillage where any vulnerability may be found. These are only a few of the threats that cast a shadow over the good people of Faerun. The authorities are stretched thin, and their grasp on law and order has begun to tremble. In response to these threats, factions have risen either for good or ill. One of these factions is a guild known as The Sentinels. For those in need, the Sentinels are there to help when no one else can or will. Aspiring though they may be, they have managed to open chapters in each major city, even if that chapter may operate out of a backroom in a third-rate tavern. You are an aspiring member of this guild. Whether for glory, adventure, riches, duty, or some other cause, you have come - and they’re always looking for new blood. Let us only hope that all the troubles of this world are not connected to a greater threat which may be lurking on the horizon… — This is a campaign for D&D 5th edition. I’m looking for 4 players who can dedicate themselves to 3-4 hour sessions once a week. We will probably play on either sundays or mondays around 5:30 pm CDT. We can further coordinate on a time once we have a full party. I’ll have a number of house rules which I’ll be using and I’ll provide a document detailing what those are so everyone’s on the same page. Characters will start at level 3. Dual-classing is allowed (only up to 2). Full hit die for level 1, then you can roll or take half for each level after that. You may roll for stats (4d6, drop lowest), and if you roll poorly, you may take the standard array instead. Homebrew content may be allowed at my discretion. I expect this game to be a good balance of Combat, Exploration, and Roleplay.
