Hello everyone! I've been thinking about posting this for a while but haven't gotten around to it until now. It's been a while since my previous group disbanded and I'm quite interested in forming or joining a new one. I've made various posts here and there halfheartedly looking for a group, but nothing really came of it. It
occurred to me that perhaps I should post something a little more in
depth with an idea to find other hopeful like-minds who have also been
tentatively searching for something that fits them well. So, without further ado, here's a little about me: I'm in my late 30's. Really that means I'm looking for a mature group of around the same age or older. From
Scotland originally but now living in France. I'm a brewer by trade,
specialising in historic and country ales. I've done reenactment work, a
little voice acting and have quite an interest in poetry! I've been playing D&D for quite some time (Mostly AD&D when I was young) but have picked up 5e in the last few years. I'm
heavily in to history, folklore and storytelling and have DMed may fair
share of campaigns, but don't have the time at the moment as I'm in the
middle of a complete renovation of my new house. Also
currently on the back burner is my own campaign setting and overhaul
for 5e, not based in but with a heavy not to ancient Britain. It's very
much low fantasy LotR meets GoT with a little Warhammer Fantasy thrown
in for good measure. Low fantasy is my preferred setting style.
Gritty realism and a bit of historic accuracy is really what I enjoy
most. I love Forgotten Realms and standard settings, but ideally I see
myself playing something more in a world like LotR or GoT. If at all

I'm working on my own house at the moment I'm at liberty to take any
night of the week to play, except Sunday. After 6PM GMT+1 is great and
finishing no later than 11PM. I'm
hopeful to hear from others in the same boat, doesn't matter if you
don't have a game going your self at the moment, perhaps we can just
