Greetings, I am in the process of launching what will be a long term campaign taking characters from level 1 through level 14 or higher. It's an epic story, and a campaign unlike any other that I've seen.... Dm: Myself Player: up to 6 Format:5e Time: Fridays and/or Saturdays 6-10PM or 6:30-10:30PM CST (Both nights if enough interest) Where: Discord, Roll20 (pro), and your character and dice can be rolled from DND Beyond if you have the right app. You'll need a separate microphone and computer to play. Setting: The Island of Harn to start. Harnworld is put out by Columbia Games, and is the best campaign setting I've ever seen in many years of DM'ing. Starting level: 1 Rules: I understand that life happens, but no shows who have no notice within 24 hours without very good cause more than once will be kicked. Other than that, common sense is the rule of the day. Don't have your TV running or other distractions going while playing, and try to find someplace quiet to play away from others in the household to avoid distractions. Sure, you can take breaks to put kids to bed, etc. Just ask, or let me know what you are doing. Players who repeatedly have to be called over and over when it's their turn who haven't let me know they will be AFK for a reason, will be warned, then kicked. You miss too much by playing with your phone or otherwise doing something when it's not your turn. Price: Free to dedicated, mature players who are seeking something different than the run of the mill adventure. I do take donations, however, though it's not obligatory. If you wish to help out with costs, etc, fine.... If not, no worries. I'm doing this for love of the game.... Quick description: The Island of Harn is a very detailed campaign setting, and a 5E version of it comes with extra flavor, deep character development that allows characters to do more than just explore and loot in an immersive, epic campaign where the players start as next to nobodies (mostly) and end up rubbing elbows with intrigue in the kings court and beyond. Along the way, the plot thickens and the players go from being bound to a Lord to being able to make decisions for themselves. The campaign is set initially on an island the size of the UK, with several Kingdoms benign and malign, one Magocracy, one republic, a Viking like invaded land, and a Dwarven and Elven kingdom. There are 22 barbarian tribes that also live on the island, as well as Gargun (basically like humanoids) and Ivashu (the created beings of the deity Ilver, who lives on the island). Play takes place initially in the benign Kingdom of Kaldor. The campaign is set in what would be the equivalent of the end of the Dark Ages, or early Middle Ages. Thus it is a Low Fantasy campaign, and can get gritty and realistic, but not in an uncomfortable way. Seeking mature adults who are dedicated to stick through the entire campaign. I can do both Friday and Saturday nights if there is enough interest for two groups; and would love to play with an already existing group on one of the nights. Being newish to D&D 5th Edition is okay. Campaign is limited for players to the Players Handbook and Xanathar's Guide. Some of Tasha's Cauldron may be allowed after start up. About Me: I am a forever DM, and have DM'd about 95% of the many years I've got invested into this game. I love DM'ing. I have been a convention and game day DM, having appeared at several conventions and gamedays near where I have lived. I'm currently evaluating whether I want to continue that or not. My background is in theater in High School, College, and beyond with Dinner Theater, and I studied History in college (and beyond) with a focus on the ancients and middle ages. I do "voices" and have "characters, " though we will be doing voice only, no webcams. I also do my own maps using Campaign Cartographer 3+, and have a Pro account with Roll20, and am very proficient with both. Lastly, I do have other campaigns I could run, which are more High Fantasy and offer different options, but if you ask me or the people who have played in a similar campaign before, this is the best, much better than all the rest. So if you just can't get behind Low Fantasy, then I may have something else if there is enough interest. Soon as we get 4-6 players we will start. Let me know if you are interested...
