With the New Year coming upon us I have a bit of a resolution - to get back into having friends across the globe again. I have the freedom of schedule enough to want to run a GMT friendly game of Vampire: the Masquerade using the Dark Ages rules and set up. I'm thinking of attempting this on Tuesdays or Thursdays with a start time of around 1800 - 1900 with a hope to run 3 hours a session. I'm trying to decide which day would be more popular or seems to be. I have a pair of players who'd prefer Thursday but if I can only find two players for that day it won't work. :p I'll be setting the game away from the Tzimisce's Slavic lands and the Toreador controlled France and setting it in Palermo during 1220s. The Kingdom of Sicily is part of the Holy Roman Empire which (as we all know) survived so well. This will take place during the time the Holy Roman Emperor Frederick II moved to Sicily and how the Court of Shadows along with various other types of Kindred handled having such a powerful pawn within reach. Of course, the Prince of the city, Montano, has forbade all from Blood Bonding such a mortal but there are other ways to get someone into your pocket after all... I'll want to have the first arc go from 1220 - 1236ish and see how some time skips and plotting can go before picking up the next arc as more powerful vampires. If all goes well I'd like to touch on a few of the different eras of VtM such as the creation of the Camarilla and Sabbat, the Victorian era, Industrial age, and hopefully ending in the modern ages as actual elders. You'd start as more powerful Neonates on the cusp of coming into your Ancilla-hood. So, would this interest people? If so, what day works for you? Would you want to shape AU WoD history?
