Add a Friends section

 A lot of people rely on Discord to connect and create friends lists, the issue is they often become exclusive and take users away from the platform. I would really like to see a Friends section where you can search by location, game system, etc, and add people to your friends list inside roll20.  Roll20 needs to move away from relying on 3rd party apps for some of its functions and improve it's overall features to stay viable in the coming months. 

I agree this could be nice, if it's done well and according to Best Practices for social website Friend'ing.  It would probably take-over an existing Roll20 feature called the Player Directory, which just massively lacks functionality, and has some existing pagination bugs, so it is currently not very useful. It has the ability to list what games you're actively seeking a group to play (this is controlled on your personal Roll20 profile). It doesn't have Friend'ing or Saving of profiles, at the current time all you could do is Bookmark the people's Profiles in your browser locally.
