Player can't move copied monster sheet tokens

One of my players have an ability to raise some of the dead monsters. When he does that, I copy the sheet of the monster and give the copy's control to the player so he can change and control the sheet. The problem is though when I do so and drop the copy's token on the map, he just can't move the token or neither use the buttons given to the token. He can still roll through the copy's sheet but I have to operate token for him. Any ideas to solve this??

Hi Fork,  You need to edit the token and assign the token to the new sheet. Then open the sheet, click edit, and (with the token selected) click "Use Selected Token".  Copying the sheet does not make any changes to the token.

Hi there Gauss, Thanks for your reply. I already did that though. The token's control is on the assigned sheet. By this I mean the copied sheet. And then I removed the token from the sheet and clicked the "Use Selected Token". It's not working. It feels like a bug. Because some of the sheets are working fine but some aren't.

Could you please screenshot the settings on the token and the settings on the character (click edit then screenshot the character)?

One thought, the duplicate character, does it have the same name as the original?

The original sheet is from Roll20 compendium Griffon. Its name is Griffon.  I named added this the name the player gave it.

Alright, I'm out of ideas. Could you PM me an invite so I can come take a look?
I sent it.
Let him drag out the Sheet to the VTT and thus create a new token. He should be able to move this newly created token.

To update:  There was no setting related issues with the Character or the Token.  There may be a problem on the user's end, we are waiting for the user to get on and test.

Hi Fork! Reassigning the existing token to the copied sheet results in a default token for the new sheet that is still linked to the old sheet. You need to change the "represents" field on the token before saving the new default. All "Use this token" does is say to make a copy of the selected token when you drag the journal entry to the VTT. It doesn't change any associations on the token. These steps should work: Duplicate Character Drag duplicate onto VTT Edit the token that appears on VTT to be represent new character (in token settings) Edit permissions on character Tell that character to use your new token as the default (this must be the last step). When you drag out a new default token for that sheet, it should now result in a token that is associated with thet new character and its new permissions.
Thank you all for replying my post. There was no setting related issues, and I'll check on with the player next time we meet. If they still can't use it properly, I'll have them send a post and update here too.
