Summoning monsters character sheets

How exactly do i set up extra monsters to summon? Is making an NPC sheet the best thing i can do since im not a pro? I opened a new game for testing and figured out making the sheet. I want to be a druid with lots of summons but i dont want to make more work for my DM so i would prefer to do it myself. Any tips would be helpful because mostly what i saw was using scripts and i cant do that
Yes you will need to make a character sheet for each wildshape that you want to turn into as a Druid. Then pull that token out from the journal when you change. Using a Mod script just speeds that process up.

What game are you playing and what character sheet is that game using? AFAIK players cannot pull  NPCs/Monsters from a compendium, so you would need to create a full character sheet from scratch for each summoned creature. I would suggest asking your GM to create copies ( he should   not use the originals ) of the NPC character sheets for the summoned creatures and assign control of them to you. Your GM will also need to organize those sheets in the journal for you since players can't do that either.  Edit: I had not thought about the option of using the character vault or characters that kiethcurtis mentioned in his post below. I didn't think that exporting NPCs was possible using those! How exactly do i set up extra monsters to summon? Is making an NPC sheet the best thing i can do since im not a pro? Since you are not the GM, you could also create your own game and make the monster sheets there. You did not mention your system, but since the statistical probability is D&D 5e, you have access to the SRD material for free, which includes most common beasts and many other commonly summoned creatures. You can simply pull them into the game from the compendium and very little actual setup is required. Then (with the GM's permission) use either Characters or the Character Vault to move them from your game into the GM's game. There may be limitations based on the level of subscription in your GM's game. I would suggest reading up on these features in the Help Center.
