In almost 40 years and through a first, second and now forth edition (the less said about the 3rd, the better), the Old World has accumulated an incredible amount of lore, scenarios and entire campaigns. This game aims to make the best use of all of it: Using the 4th edition rules, we will meet every Wednesday evening (UK time), and explore many of the most fascinating corners of this world. Overall the game will be quite sandboxy, following the characters and their ambitions, though the idea is to let you experience as many of the old and new adventures, scenarios, locations and NPCs from across the decades and editions of this classic TTRPG. We will follow the original sensibilities - "grimy fantasy", as one of the designers called it - and the classical irreverent mix of horror and silliness that was the heart of this game. After all, grimdark was always meant to be dark satire. But as always with nostalgia, it is important to be wise about what parts of the past to brush off and reuse, and this game will of course be fully LGBTQ+ and BIPOC player friendly.
