Heya folks! I've recently switched jobs and find myself with more time at my disposal, not having to spent three hours a day commuting, so I decided it's time to look for a new game to join either Friday Evenings (after work), any time Saturdays or Sundays, IF the game ends before 5 PM CEST (GMT+2) (prebooked for another game I'm part of already). I'm pretty open towards many various systems and games right now, always happy to experiment with new systems. To name just a few that currently pique my interest: Legend of the Five Rings, King Arthur Pendragon, Fallout RPG, Star Trek Adventures, Star Wars (FFG), Warhammer 40k (just no Wrath & Glory or Black Crusade), Warhammer Fantasy RPG, Dragon Age RPG, Shadowrun, Starfinder, Stars Without Number, Traveler and so many more that I probably just can't think of RN. Regarding me as a player: I'm 37 years old, male and identifying as such, from Germany and have been playing TTRPGs On- and Offline for roundabout 24 years now. Started off with a homebrewed Wing Commander Chat-RPG, then moved on to Shadowrun 4E and later Legend of the Five Rings with some classmates, as a dedicated GM for the next 8-10 years. Only then did I finally discover the joy of just being a player for myself and stuck to that due to burning out on GMing all the time and just having less time for it. The greatest joys of playing TTRPGs were always coming up with interesting but believable characters to play, meeting other like minded people and just having a great time with fellow nerds as we slip into our roles, using our fantasy and some dice. Among the many games I've played are (no claims of being complete here): -Shadowrun 4E -D&D 5E -Pathfinder 2E -Starfinder -Star Wars (FFG, mainly Edge of the Empire with some short visits in Force & Destiny and Age of Rebellion) -Legend of the Five Rings -King Arthur Pendragon -A Song of Ice and Fire RPG -Stars Without Number -Warhammer Fantasy RPG -Warhammer 40K (FFG, mostly Rogue Trader with a bit of Dark Heresy and Only War) Besides playing TTRPGs, I'm also streaming on Twitch as a hobby, so I'm bringing good audio and video equipment with me. Despite being a non-native speaker, as an anglophile, who studied English at university for a while, I'm very fluent in English and while not perfect and rarely stumbling over a word I either don't know yet or just have never tried to pronounce, I am fairly certain that no one will have troubles understanding me even remotely. What I am looking for in a group is neither a perfect grasp of the rules nor professional (voice) actor levels of roleplay, but a good group chemistry including light hearted banter, the willingness to learn the system together, an eagerness to roleplay and a healthy balance between combat and social situations, so that everyone can enjoy the game and has their moment to shine. So, to bring my ramblings to an end: if you have a game with an open spot during reasonable times during either of the aforementioned weekdays, are willing to give a random stranger a chance and think the game you play could interest me, feel free to post an answer or shoot me a DM. I'll try to reply ASAP and appreciate your attention. Thank you and have a nice day!
