The **Classic Curse of Strahd**, with a twist! ***Reign of Nightmares*** introduces a long lost aspect back into this Domain of Dread; the watchful eyes of the Dark Powers. These entities of nightmare and ruin keep careful watch on those who dwell within Ravenloft, looking for any acts of sin the damned soul would perpetrate. They do not punish such people, no no... the Dark Powers **Reward** such behavior. Demonic Wings, Bestial Claws, Monstrous Strength or Serpentine Charms, this and more may be rewarded to those who fall to the vices and corruption of Barovia and its horrors. **Additionally, RoN changes the following as well:** - Strahd has been changed from his standard Stat Block into something truly worthy of the title Dread Lord. - Factions within Ravenloft have been changed to be more proactive, some with new or different motives and allegiances. New factions may also be found within Barovia as well! - As well as the Dark Powers, Barovia itself can be corrupting to those weak of will, only through acts of kindness and heroism can this be held at bay. - Inspiration has been changed to better remind and motivate PCs to actually make use of it. - Lasting Injuries are being brought into this game. - New magical items will be introduced, as well as more powerful items that hold a curse upon those who wield them. - New monsters to discover and dungeons to explore. - Experience Point progression will be used instead of Milestones, with rewards given for making useful allies, defeating monsters, completing quests, and discovering hidden secrets throughout Barovia. **Sessions will last 3-4 hours.** Character Creation will be done at session 0. Characters are created at level 1, and stats are rolled using the "4d6 Drop Lowest" method. If you are unhappy with the resulting character, you are allowed to reroll your Stat Array until you are happy with the result.
