[LFP][5e][18+][Sunken Isles][Pirate Campaign][Fridays@8pmEST]

AHOY THARRRR! We be looking for seadogs to play in a pirate themed campaign! We have a DM and be looking for a crew to join us on our venture! Come all ye scallywags if ye think ye've got the sea legs to join us. We are looking for 5 to 6 players to join us on this campaign. We will be starting out on level 3. It is expected to be a fun but serious and gritty campaign. We typically run for about 3 hours. We will be trying to cement ourselves in the Sunken Isles. Hunting pirate bounties. Hunting sea monsters to eat/ sell to the highest bidder. Find buried treasure and maybe do some raiding and plundering. Sunken Isles is a setting by Ghostfire gaming and Eldermancy. The setting takes place in the Isles of Manaki, an archipelagos where native island traditions have met colonization and industry. With merchant ships come pirates, and with expansion comes destruction. Ancient powers have begun to awaken and take notice of these changes to the isles. Players will quickly find themselves battling numerous foes, all of which seek control of the Isles and the unique magic they contain. Rules: Try your best to stay in character and engage in the roleplay. No homophobia, sexism, racisim, etc. Please show up to session on time and ready to play. Homebrew material will need to be approved beforehand. We prefer to have team players. Lone wolves and silent players are not what we are looking for. We will also be playing on the darker leaning side. No goodie two shoes characters please. We are pirates and cutthroats. Barbarians and savages of the sea. Grey is totally okay, there were multiple degrees of pirates. You do not need to play a sadistic character. Post here to inquire about joining and to ask any questions you have. DO NOT DIRECT MESSAGE ME! We will be starting Friday June 7th.

im interested just let me know :) Also how long do you expect the campaign to last?
Also what time zone and what hour you plan to start?
We expect the campaign to last a few months. Maybe 6 or 7 months. The time zone and hour we start are in the title. We start on Fridays 8pm EST.
I'd be interested if you're accepting players who are new to 5e! I have experience in other TTRPGs, but I'm wanting to learn 5e.
Hi I'd be interested if spots are available are you accepting all races and classes cause I have a Dragonborn sorcerer I need to try out.
This sounds great. I'd love a chance to join.
Hello! I'm the DM for this campaign. We are looking for about 1-2 more people. I got 4 of my regulars in tow to crew a vessel. Here's some additional info: -If you are a fan of games like Sea of Thieves, AC: Blackflag, Skull and Bones, and other such titles, as well as movies like the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, then you will likely see inspiration from such franchises in this game. -General gameplay ideas I have cooked up include: nautical warfare (fighting on ships, manning stations, or going ship to ship), raiding forts and temples for loot/supplies (these will operate like dungeons), sacking or taking over towns, diving into underwater areas, and exploring islands. -The tone for the game should feel fairly gritty and downright brutal at times. The 18+ tag is not a joke, this will be a vicious game, with you guys doing a lot of the typical murderhobo shenanigans. There will be times for silliness of course, I do intend to include campy jokes and phrases, or the oddball character every now and then, but the standard will be gritty. -The party patron, the Captain, will be represented by the "will of the crew". Out of character, you guys will decide what to do going forward with a problem as a group, calling a majority vote, and after hearing what you guys want to do, I'll roleplay the NPC captain barking orders down the chain of command. This will allow people to play characters that may not want to do what the player wants, and keep me from telling the party what I want them to do. Often times, I will act as the captain proposing jobs or courses of action, but you guys out of character will have the final say on what you wish to do to protect agency. -Various books will be used to call upon for various mechanics and tables for content. Such books include, but are not limited to, Ghosts of Saltmarsh, Limithron's Guide to Naval Combat & Pirate Borg, as well as the setting book Sunken Isles for the setting we're playing in. We'll review which forms of mechanics work best for us and decide on them then. Lastly, I want to emphasize that there is no overarching main BBEG, or any sort of world ending plot happening. This is just good ole, high seas fun. There might be some named baddies or pirate legends I'll tell ya about or reference to, but its not for the long term story. Thanks for your interest, let me know on this post if you want to give it a try!
