Hello all, my name is Edward and I’m in search of a D&D game for Fridays. Bio : I am male, 24 years old, and have reliable internet access as well as a reliable set of headphones and mic. My preferred way of playing is through Roll20. I have been playing D&D 5e for nearly 8 years now, with experience as both a player and as a DM. I am a helpful person since I work in youth sports programs for my local city and have no issues with helping someone out if they are having issues with either the D&D or the Roll20 systems. There is no issue with background noises being a distraction to the party. Experience :  As previously mentioned, I have been playing D&D 5e for nearly 8 years now, with experience as both a player and a DM. I have been a player in campaigns such as ‘Curse of Strahd’ , ‘Storm King’s Thunder’ , and several homebrew campaigns that were cancelled partway. I have also DMed several premade modules such as ‘Curse of Strahd’, ‘Tyranny of Dragons’, and ‘Storm King’s Thunder’ , in addition to several homebrew one-shot adventures and stories. Most of these games were played on Roll20, as I have been using it since March of 2020. In addition, I have experience in leading and/or guiding players, since I was the President of a D&D club in high school, the Vice President of a D&D club in college and have run games for members of a local gaming store. Playstyle : I try to be tactical and thoughtful of the things I do, in both combat and out of combat, so I can fit within any party. My preferred class type in terms of combat are casters since I prefer to engage enemies at a distance while also helping my allies with buffs and debuffs. Again, this does not mean I am locked into being a caster, since I am happy playing with any class. I do not try to be a min-maxing kind of player, nor do I attempt to play as optimized as possible, since I do not find those kinds of playstyle to be enjoyable to me, but I always seek to be as useful as possible for everyone’s benefit. I’m the kind of player who would rather sneak in from a window rather than kick down the door, unless the character that I’m playing as has that kind of personality.   Flavor : When I’m playing a character, I always seek to become that character whenever I speak as them or describe the things that they are doing things. This is due in part to my experience in theatre acting, having performed on stage for audiences, I have no issue with acting as my character, and will change depending on the kind of character I’m playing as, whether it be a studious and timid wizard, or a headstrong and battle-hungry barbarian. I also attempt to add flavor into my attacks and during combat, as I like to give descriptions of my attacks and how they appear, ( I swing my longsword across the jaw of the dragon, knocking scales off ), but if combat is dragging on for too long, I try to be quick and efficient so to keep things moving for everyone’s convenience. Availability : I am available to play on Fridays anytime at or after 6PM PST. It is rare for me to miss sessions, but sometimes I may be called in by my work to cover for someone else. If that is the case, or if I am away, I will notify you several hours in advance of the game so you can make any necessary changes so everyone is aware. But again, this is very rare, as I am consistent on availability. I have several character concepts, one of which I'll post here, but I have many others (and will be happy to adjust in order to fit the setting/story). Character Concept 1: Name: Tomas Silvereyes Race: Half Elf Class: Warlock (Undead) Backstory:  A son of a well-off noble family, Tomas had always been interested in stories of lost cities and ancient civilizations. With his family's wealth, he began to study as an archaeologist under the tutelage of a local scholar. One of his research assignments brought him to a desert canyon in order to research the ruins of a partially collapsed temple carved into the canyon walls, said to contain the lost relics of an ancient dragon cult. As Tomas descended further into the ruins, he slipped and found himself in a secret compartment, empty, save for a strange artifact. When he went to examine it, the temple began to shake violently. As he searched for a way out, a voice entered his mind, and offered to tell him how to escape for a price, desperately he accepted and was shown the way out. But as he fled the ruins, he could feel the presence of something powerful inside him, and could swear he could see the image of a dragon in the corner of his eye. Hopefully this caught your interest and happy to join your adventures.
