Good point Rick!  Danielle, if you or the Game Owner do not have the book that contains the Artificer class you will not have access to it.  Assuming this is D&D 5e the Artificer is not in the SRD. That is a decision of the maker of D&D (Wizards of the Coast) rather than a problem with Roll20.
